It's been a full day of crafting at my house with my little ones eager to make their Daddy a Birthday card. Needless to say I couldn't find my desk when I wanted to craft-lol. Once I unearthed it and put things away, I really started to notice things I don't use that often. Like my Big Shot. So, I pulled it out and was determind to incoporate it into this challenge.
The challenge this week at the MelJens's Challenge Blog is 'New Beginnings'. I knew I had a card to make that expressed exactly that. A friend of mine was left at Christmas time by her spouse of 11 years. So I made this to send to her
All the images are from MelJen's except the tag 'hugs' I wrote freehand. I glittered the clouds and coloured the bear with copic markers. I used my big shot to cut out the bear with a 'tags' die cut.
Inside I wrote "when someone closes a door, God opens a window"
Thanks for stopping by, have a great night!
Oh goodness, I really love how you put this together. I try to avoid cards like this because I am so inept, but you really pulled it off Laura. Thank you so much for joining us at Meljen's Designs, I just love seeing new ideas - plus anyone using those gorgeous clouds totally rock in my book. Goodluck!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card. I hope it brought your friend some comfort. I really like how you used multiple images to create your card. They work really well together.
