It's Digi Darla Day!

Time to be a copy cat and create with the new challenge at Digi Darla's challenge blog!
The challenge is to use the digi by DD called Smile and a Flower Please.

Here is my card:
I printed out the image twice so I could cut out the flower. I popped it up on dimensionals. The sentiment I printed from my computer. I drew the black border, added a button with ribbon to finish off my card.
I won't be popping by your blogs this week as I am on vacation, but I can't wait to see what you've created when I get back :)
 Have a great week!

Wednesday 24 July 2013

Oops!

So I am little overboard right now preparing for our summer 'vacation'. I use the word 'vacation' lightly as the kids will be on vacation and I will be working ( so they can be there).
We will be heading up to a Christian camp site for the week. Of course, I planned this after my hubbie had already scheduled his vacation time, so it will be just me and 3 kids.
Yes, I am nuts ;)

While the monkeys are swimming, canoeing, doing archery, rock climbing, crafts and more, I will be teaching 16 children under 4 about God's promises. I will also be supervising 11 babysitters and running their morning devotions.

So in between preparing for all of that, running my kids everywhere, and managing the household, I've had little time for crafting :(

However, there are 2 fabulous challenges going on right now I hope you can join in on

Digi Darla Designs-has a fabulous Christmas in July theme
Clear it Out Challenge-has a washi tape challenge for you

If I did it right, next weeks posts will be scheduled :)
Have a super week!

It's Digi Darla Day!

It's time for another challenge at the Digi Darla Challenge Blog. This week the challenge is a sketch challenge.
I piggybacked 2 challenges this week as I am preparing to go on vacation soon. So this will also serve as my card for the Clear it Out Challenge blog-international use washi tape. Digi Darla is sponsoring CIO so if you combine the challenges you have another chance to win!!!!!

I live in Canada and there is lots of wildlife here. In fact when I drove my daughter to her camp this week a baby and momma deer where crossing the road.  She was so excited :)

I used Digi Darla's images : Fawn in the field and Fresh Christmas tree

Thanks for popping by. Before I go I will be checking out your blogs to see what you've created. Good luck :)

Not all girls like princess' ....

It's challenge time over at the Clear it Out Blog. The theme this week is : Make someone smile and use something glittery.

I used a digi image from The Stamping Chef (one of the sponsors this week) called Piba .

So I have this scrap box, more like a rubbermaid tote of 'scrap' paper. It also houses some 'why on earth did I buy this' paper and ' I really like some of the papers in this paper pack, what am I going to so with the rest of it' papers.

I used 2 of those papers today. Sad to say I have had them about 9 years. Yep, time I sign up for an episode of hoarders-lol

I think this crazy digi worked great with these papers! I cut apart the digi to make it appear he/she was walking over the hill. I added some glitter to the heart balloon, horns and flowers for some sparkle. I finished it off by using my 0.05 copic black liner and freehanding a boarder.
Easy peasy!
You have one more week to play along, I can't wait to see what you create :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

It's time to play along at the Digi Darla Challenge.

For my easel card I used the digi called DigiDarla Wedding Bliss.

I searched google for inspiration as  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I stumbled across a wedding chapel and thought that might be fun to do

Here is my card

The hearts on the chapel were made from using a SU letterpress and blush blossom ink. I added some pearls, ribbon and those white things behind the digi (I have no idea what they are called). I punched a heart in the paper behind the sentiment, added a scalloped border and some flowers. When I assembled it I used a lot of dimensionals to pop things up and make it 3D looking.

Thanks for stopping by! I am looking forward to popping by your blogs and seeing your easel cards :)

It's time to Clear it Out

It's Tuesday so it's time to Clear out my stash at the Clear it Out Challenge Blog!

This weeks theme was to use bling. Easy peasy, I always have those pesky little rhinestones kicking around. They seem to follow me everywhere. I have found them stuck to my elbow, on my pants, stuck on random things, seriously-everywhere!

Here is a card I made using our fabulous sponsor -Bugaboo Stamps. I like this line AKV ( a kids view stick people). So when I needed to make a card to 'make someone's day' I had to snag this digi and make a card for my sister.

My sister is an Emergency room nurse at our local hospital. In my opinion she is deeply underpaid for all the things she does AND yelling she takes from patients. But she is very dedicated to her profession, keeps her cool, and treats each person with kindness.

I mean seriously, if someone was yelling at me 'the wait times were to long', or 'the doctor was taking to long', or she 'needs to order the patient lunch becasue he's been there for more that 2 hours' (yes, that seriously happened) I think I would snap. All of those things are out of her control, but she listens. She helps. Every day, despite the crazy business of it all, she helps.

So my card is to thank her, for all she does. Both by me and the people who sometimes forget to tell her she's awesome!

Inside is a gift card for a pedicure-after being on her feet 12 hours at a time she deserves to be pampered :)
Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to checking out your blogs this week
Hugs

It's Digi Darla Day!

Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canucks! I hope you are enjoying your time today, hopefully in a backyard with a pool and BBQ! It's so nice to have my hubbie home the extra day this week. I missed him the past few weeks he was away on business.

Anywho, today is also Digi Darla Day, so head on over to the Digi Darla Challenge Blog and see the fab inspiration from my fellow DT! The theme is Stars and Stripes (use red, blue, and white) BUT since I live in Canada I chose to use my country's flag colours -Red and White

Here is the card I made

I coloured it up with my copic markers and popped up the butterfly and small flower.
You have one week to play along and may win 5 digis, use a Digi Darla image and you could win 3 more.
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to visiting your blogs this week :)
