Where have I been?

Well it seems like forever since I have posted-my last post didn't publish. I think I was in too much of a hurry and messed something up.

Anywho, I am back and everyone is okay now. Without sharing to much personal info just know it's been an extremely hard week and my little guy is going to be okay :)

SO...my first card this week is for Penny's challenges! It's the last week until the new year so go get your crafty on and join us!

Our sponsor is the fabulous

Here is a card I made using some left over scraps and a charm I've had for about 7 years (eek!)

I coloured her up with my copics then added glitter all over her dress (didn't photograph to well) The rub on is from an old Stampin' Up sheet I had.

You have until Jan 6th to enter and with a theme of anything goes. I'm looking forward to taking the time to check out your creations.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate all the emails and messages while I was m.i.a.
Merry Christmas to you and your families

Laura

It's Penny's Challenge time

Head on over to Penny's challenge for a colour challenge.

One of our sponsors for this challenge is

Here is the card I made

I used a pink as my base colour ( favourite colour) to create my card by starting with her hair. Her boots and twine also tie in with my colour choice.

I made this card for a 10 year old who just got her black belt-amazing!!

After I coloured her I cut her out and added a sentiment from my computer.

The challenge runs for one week and you'll have to pop over to check out the other DT's designs-they are awesome!
While your there, check out our other fab sponsor StampArt Design

See you next week!

It's challenge time at Penny's

It's time for another 'anything goes' challenge at Penny's challenge. One of our sponsors is

You can check out her store here

Here is what I made

Another fairly simple card, using some very old Stampin' Up papers. I cut out the snowman ( and lost the cute little bird in the process-eek!)  I mounted that on a scallop punch and used my copics to colour the heart and outline the snowman. Twine and a computer generated sentiment finish off the card.

Penny's challenge runs for one week. Pop over to the blog to see the other DT cards and find our who our second sponsor is.
I'll be checking out your creations, can't wait!

Monday 24 November 2014

It's challenge time!

It's another fab challenge at Melonheadz Friends today, you can check out all the details and great DT inspiration here

The theme is pumpkins and I used the 4 Seasons Lucy  Doris found in the Melonheadz Etsy store. There are so many cute digis in this set of 12 (for $7.00!!!)

The image came pre-coloured so I cut around her and popped her up on a Halloween tag. If you've been to my blog recently you will have seen a bunch of projects I have used with these tags. I added some gems to the flowers as well as the scallop polka dot strip and set all that on the background papers.

Thanks for popping by, the challenge runs for 2 weeks and I'll be by to check out what you have made.
Have a super day :)

Wednesday 19 November 2014

Penny's challenge begins today

Today begins another challenge at Penny's Challenges. The theme is 'anything goes' and the sponsor is

Here is the card I made using 'Cindi Bunns'

Isn't she cute? All my craft stuff is still packed away so the embellishments are pretty basic, but I think it still turned out cute :)

The challenge runs for one week and the winner gets 3 digi images from the Lacy Sunshine Store.
See you next time!

It's challenge time!

Hello bloggy friends :)

It's challenge time at Penny's challenge with a theme of 'anything goes'. One of the sponsors (yep there is 2) is one of my favs

I got to play around with one of the newer digis called 'Christmas boy and his dog'

Here is my card

I coloured him up with my copic markers and added lots of glitter to his hat, pom pom, and below his feet. The dog I coloured up to look like ours (sort of-ours has a bit more white) I punched our kraft snowflakes and added a heart to the middle. The sentiment is a rub-on from making memories.
This is going to be a Christmas card for my son I think :)

Thanks for stopping by. I am away this week but hope you will join in Penny's challenge. It runs for 1 weeks and you have 2 chances to win!

Digi Sketch Challenge time

Well hopefully my posts today have gone on as planned, as you are reading this I should be on a plane to Cuba. After 12 years I have finally decided to go away. It's been a rough year and this momma needs some me time. I'm not even taking the hubbie!!

Anywho, before I headed out I just had to play with this gorgeous image from Sassy Studio, the sponsor for this week's challenge at the Digi Sketch.

The theme is Lace and Pearls and there is also a sketch which you can find on the blog. It mostly looks like mine above but I'm missing a circle thing on the right ;)

I coloured her up with my copic markers and a multiliner  to add dimension to her hair. I glittered up her dress and added pearls to the top of her veil. Lace, a crochet flower from my old SU stash and pearls finished her off.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by. The challenge runs for 2 weeks and I'll catch up with you then
Crafty hugs!

Melonheadz Friends challenge time!

Head on over and join the girls in another great challenge at Melonheadz Friends!

The theme is Halloween ( or the colours black, orange, purple, green)

Here is the card I made using the Halloween Stringbeans.   (For $11 you get 12 pre-coloured images AND you get them in black and white too-that's .45 cents a digi!!! Crazy right?)

The digis were coloured already so this tag was easy to put together quickly. The tag is from a set of 6 that measures about 4 inches tall. The ribbon is from my stash and I used colours from the digi as guidance. The scallop border and edges below the digi are reflections stickers ( I love them!) and finally, I added the letters 'boo' -they are from the dollar store. I actually didn't have any 'o's so I cut a part a 'g'. Fun!

The challenge runs for 2 weeks and don't forget if you use a Melonheadz digi-it's always an anything goes theme

Craft hugs

It's Penny time!

Head on over for another fab challenge at Penny's challenge.

The theme is 'polka dots and pearls'. One of the sponsors is Sassy Studios , here is the card I created with one of their images

The challenge at Penny's runs for one week. Head on over to see who the other sponsor is-you won't be disappointed ;)

Thanks for popping by!

Penny's time!

It's challenge time at Penny's challenges

Head on over to check out the 'anything goes' challenge and see what the DT created for you.

Our sponsor is Lacy Sunshine-woot! woot!

Here is my creation

I so don't do Halloween cards. We participate in Halloween, I take the kids trick or treating  and the hubby hands out candy. I've just never had a reason to give out a card, weird huh?

Anywho, this cutie was coloured up with my copics. I created the hat by cutting it out freehand from some cardstock. The 'boo' was cut out using my big shot and SU dies.

The challenge runs for one week, can't wait to see what you create!

I'd also like to enter this into Lacy Sunshine's challenge-Halloween!

Thanks for stopping by~ crafty hugs :)

Monday 13 October 2014

Challenge time

It's time  for another fun challenge at Melonheadz Friends! As always if you use a Melonheadz digi the theme is anything goes. If not the theme this week is lots of layers.

Here is my birthday card using the 50's theme pack

The digis were already coloured so it was super easy to print off and put this together. I layered up all the images and popped up the boy for dimension.
I do hope you'll join us in this challenge, it runs for 2 weeks. Don't have a Melonheadz digi? You can purchase them here or grab a freebie off Nikki's blog.

See you soon
Laura

Digi Sketch Challenge time!

It's challenge time at the Digi Sketch Challenge.   As always you can follow the theme, sketch or both!

I followed the theme which is 'Pink and Sparkly'. Our sponsor this round is Beccy's place.
There are a ton of freebies on her site as well, so go grab one and play along :)

Here is my card

When I saw this digi I had to smile. She's just so cute, right? I coloured her up with my copic markers and added stickles to her wings. She was adhered to a pink/white sparkly paper, so she is just glittery all over :) It's so fun to go crazy with pinks and glitter :)

The challenge runs for 2 weeks -can't wait to visit your blogs and see what you've done.

It's a Lacy Sunshine challenge

The wee hours are winding down to play along at the Lacy Sunshine challenge.

The theme is 'seasons' and the card I made is for my niece

This card is a Christmas card for my niece coloured with copics (I will add her name to the top right after). She is very outdoorsy and never goes to the movies in the summer. Come autumn, she is at the movies 24-7. When I saw this image from Lacy Sunshine I knew I had to make this card for her. Inside will be gift cards for her to attend the movies. So a card and gift in one :)

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day :)

Wednesday 8 October 2014

It's a polka dotty challenge at Penny's challenge!

Penny's challenge time!

It's time to create a card for Penny's challenge-use 3 or more patterned papers.

There are 2 sponsors and I was lucky enough to use an image from

Here is what I made:

I layered some papers I had in my stash, coloured the image up with my copic markers and added a sentiment I punched out with my SU punch.

There is also another sponsor, so head on over to the blog for more details and check out the DT work while your there -they made some great projects  :)

Have a super day!

Monday 29 September 2014

Digi Sketch challenge time!

The DT gals are whooping it up over at the Digi Sketch challenge blog with Bugaboo Stamps as our sponsor! The theme is 'Make Me Laugh' which is easy to do with Bugaboo. So many great digis to choose from

Here is my card

Because my craft room is being packed up I had limited supplies on hand-perfect for a CAS card! The sentiment just kills me and thought it suited the digi perfect. Coloured her up with my copics and added washi tape and a button for detail.

The challenge runs for one week, I do hope you'll join us. Don't forget there is a theme and a sketch you can chose to do one or both :)

Melonheadz Friends-challenge time

Well I'm up to my eyeballs in packing, PTA meetings and I went back to work after 7 years. I almost missed making my cards this week but managed to squeeze them in while my kids were bathing-phew!

There is a challenge at Melonheadz Friends this week called Fancy Folds.
Here is a treat bag I made

Super quick and easy to put together using all scraps. In fact the embossed flowers are from a project I started a while ago but never finished. See my procrastination helped me this week-lol

This bag is a perfect way to give a gift card, use a bigger bag and you could put anything in it.

I hope this inspires you to join us. The challenge runs for 2 weeks and if you are new to Melonheadz you can grab a freebie or two at Nikki's blog.

Have a super day :)

Penny's challenge time

What a week!

My kids aren't normally sick, but just days before school started we were battling with pink eye in one child, and high fever in another. Thankfully they were  'cured' and ready to go for school. Now the 3rd little monkey is home sick :(

Thankfully I had made this card a head of time for the challenge at Penny's. The challenge is 'spots and stripes' and one of the sponsor is StampArt by Kathryne :)

Here is what I made

Isn't he just the cutest? I coloured him up with my copics ( E35, E37, R20, W1) I added a little tag that I will fill in once I know this cards destination.

I hope you'll join us in this fun challenge. It's pretty open ended so sky's the limit for your creativity.
Pop over to the blog to check out the other gals cards and to see who the other sponsor is.

Penny's challenge time

It's time for another challenge at  Penny's Challenges!

The DT have been embossing like crazy, creating some fun cards for you.

Here is mine using one of our sponsors

Not the best picture to see detail. I glittered the flowers, embossed the white card base, and added a ribbon for detail. It was fun to colour up and I tried to be as neutral as possible in my colour choices.

Penny's challenge runs for one week, I can't wait to see what you'll create :) Have a great week!

Melonheadz Challenge

I cannot believe the leaves are turning....well, actually I can since we seemed to have skipped summer. Lol.

The challenge at Melonheadz Friends is perfect for this changing weather 'Colours of Autumn'.
Inspired my my surroundings, here is what I made

I added the 'count your blessings' in word before I printed the coloured image. Then I simply found my scraps and started punching out little hearts. I added a burnt orange ribbon and attached it to a gate fold (?) card. Easy peasy!

Thanks for popping by. The challenge runs for 2 weeks and you can use any image to play along as long as you follow the theme. But..if you want to use a Melonheadz check here for links to Nikki's personal blog (some freebies) or her Etsy store.

It's time to get well at the Digi Sketch Challenge!

Hello :)

It's been bitter sweet having the kids go back to school. All their teachers are wonderful but I do miss the little side hugs I get as they walk by during the day.

It does however leave lots of crafty time!

It's time for another challenge at the Digi Sketch Challenge Blog. The theme is 'get well' and of course there is a fab sketch to go with it. Determined to use up my scrap box I didn't follow the sketch, I made this instead...

The fab sponsor is MelJen's Designs. She recently has updated her shop, have you scene it? You can check it out here

The challenge runs for 2 weeks, can't wait to see what you make :)

Woot, woot, it's another challenge at Penny's Challenge!

The theme is Anything Goes and the sponsor is one of my favs-Lacy Sunshine

Here is my card using   Winter Johnny Sweet Urchin

He so cute. The sentiment I printed off my computer, in hind sight I'd make it a bit darker.  I coloured him with my copics and added glitter to tone down the colours I used. Gotta love the bling!

Thanks for stopping by. The challenges runs for one week, go check out the blog for more details :)

I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges:

It's time to Clear it out!

Head on over to the Clear it out challenge blog and join us in clearing out our stash. The theme is anything goes, so it's a great time to use stuff up!

Here is the card I made using the sponsor Bugaboo Stamp image

I love this image :) I coloured her up with my copics and added a string of pearls at the bottom. My stash item is the grey flowers. I have had those over 5 years..actually the Stampin' Up purple paper I've had for years too!!

The challenge runs for one week and the winner gets 7 images from Bugaboo-can't wait to see what you create :)

MelJen's challenge

Well, I've been a busy bee today! This is my third posting for today.
To see my Melonheadz DT post click here, to see my Digi Sketch DT post, click here

MelJen's is having a sketch challenge and I thought I'd join in !

Here is the card I made

I coloured the dog with my copics (bv20, bv23). The banners and paw are from a paper pack that is actually for cats. Don't know how I acquired that, I'm not a cat person-lol. However, I think it works well here. The sentiment 'happy' is a rub on from Making Memories I've had for about 8 years. Yes, I have a probelm-lol
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Melonheadz Friends

Head on over for another great challenge at the Melonheadz Friends blog.
The challenge this round is '2 or more dies'

I just love being on the Melonheadz DT, the gals are great and Nikki's images are fab. Speaking of fab, did you visit Nikki's personal blog for her birthday week? Let's just say if you need some images to play along-check there ;)

Here is my card for the challenge

The image was already coloured so this card came together pretty easily. I used my large and small star punches for the stars. I also used my square one to make the white/black part a banner. Then I covered it up-lol. I used my alphabet big shot die to cut out the 'u' letters.

The challenge runs for 2 weeks and I look forward to seeing your creations :)

Thanks for stopping by

It's digi sketch challenge time!

Hello bloggy buddies and welcome to September-woot, woot!

September means no more soccer &  back to routine. You can image with 3 kids, we need routine. A lot.

Speaking of routine, it's time for the bi-monthly challenge at the Digi Sketch Challenge Blog. To play along either follow the theme and/or the sketch to win a fab prize.

The sponsor this round is All Dressed Up

This is my first time working with the All Dressed Up digis, they are super cute with lots of detail. Here is what I made

There is actually 3 gals in this set, but one sadly didn't make the cut-lol. I coloured it up with my copic markers and added lace, flowers and a button. The button seems super bright here, but the colour is more like the background paper. Weird!

I do hope you'll join us in the challenge-get all the details here

Wednesday 27 August 2014

Penny Challenge time!

It's time for Penny's Challenge!

The theme is Christmas and/or Children and one of the sponsors is Crafty Sentiments

These images are just adorable and I had so much fun making this card, check it out

I used my copics to colour her up (R81, R83, R85 pinks, BV20, BV 23, BV25, grey/purple)
I punched out a snow flake and added glitter-many times since the button kept making it fall over-lol.
The sentiment is a SU stamp

Thanks a bunch for stopping by. The challenge runs for one week. Check out the blog to see the fab DT creations and who the other sponsor is :)

Monday 25 August 2014

Yeah, I stink....

So in my crazy, busy, kid filled days, I have totally forgotten to set up my post for the Clear it out challenge blog. Eek! I guess I can get away with it a bit, since I run it...right?

Anywho, over on the blog there are 2 fab sponsors. One is a new one called ZapPow Designs. The images are super cute with thick lines, easy for colouring and cutting.

Here is what I made

Super cute right?

Thanks for popping by :)

Lacy Sunshine Back to School

It's time for another fab challenge at the Lacy Sunshine blog. The theme is back to school.

I always love to tuck little notes into my kids lunch bags. Last year my oldest told me it was embarrassing, (sigh) I'm not ready for him to grow up yet :(

Anywho, I'm not sure if this will be for my daughter or her teacher but I like how the background papers came together.

This image was coloured and cut for another project I didn't end up making, but I like how it works on the angle. She was coloured up with my copic markers and the sentiment I printed on my computer.

I'd like to enter this into:

The sentiment comes with 'fried chicken' , the one here I printed in word. I coloured it up with my copic markers and used up some scraps on my desk.

The challenge runs for one week. Go check out the blog to see the other amazing cards by the DT, and also see who our other sponsor is :)

Digi Sketch Challenge time!

It's time for another fab theme and sketch challenge at the Digi Sketch Blog

I decided to use the theme 'summer fun' for my card.

The sponsor is Scribbles Designs and the hedgehog image I used is from them.

Here is what I made

I used up some papers I had hanging around on my desk. I coloured hedgie with my copic markers and added a sentiment I had on my desk as well. To finish it off I added gems and a ribbon for a pop of colour.

The challenge runs for 2 weeks. If you pop over to the blog you can see what my DTeamies have created and check out the sketch too.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Come join us at Melonheadz Friends!

We're gearing up for 'back to school' in this week's challenge at Melonheadz Friends.

Well, the stores are already a head of us on that one! It was mid July and I already saw the shelves starting to fill-crazy!

For my card this week I used the digi set 'We Love Frogs'

Here is what I made

This little dude came pre-coloured so I grabbed some scraps from my pile and faux stitched them together. I added a pendant (from scraps) and a white button. To make this a fun card I printed off a sentiment I made in word.
I think this will be perfect in my son's lunch box on day one. Do you do that? I love leaving little surprises for my kids. I'm not Martha Stewart or anything but I do like sending notes to make them smile :)

The challenge runs for 2 weeks, you can check out the blog for more details

Thanks for stopping in :)

It's challenge time at Penny's

It's an 'anything goes' challenge at Penny's challenges. The DT gals have created some fun cards for you using the digs from the sponsor

Here is the card I made using Hangover Hannah

Okay before you see my card I have a confession. I had no idea this was a hangover digi, I thought it was a lady feeling ill. Lol.

Here is my card

Now do you see why I had to tell you that? I'm sure  hoping most people don't have a hangover while on summer break with their kids. Although, I have seen some kids that I'm sure drive their parents to drink-lol

I coloured her up with my copics and added the sentiment ( I made on the computer). A quick card, sure to get some laughs.

Penny's challenge runs for one week. I am away the first part of the week but will check out your blogs before the next challenge starts :)

See you next time, thanks for stopping by

Wednesday 6 August 2014

It's challenge time at Penny's

Hello :)

Welcome to my crafty space! There is a challenge at Penny's challenge that starts today. It's an Anything Goes challenge-one of my favourites.

I chose to use the Owl-ways Yours image from StampArt by Kathryne.  You can pick her up for $1.00!!

Here is what I made for you today

I started by colouring her up with my copic markers R81, R83, R85. I then opened up a jar of flowers and layered them, finishing them off with a pearl. Twine, scrap paper, a black marker (for dashes) and a sentiment from my computer stash complete this card. Simple but pretty I think :)

Penny's challenge runs for one week. I am looking forward to seeing your creations,  I often sit at my computer ooing and ahing over them!

Until next time...
