Clear it Out Challenge

This is the second week over at the Clear it Out Challenge to use up your ugly papers.

I've had this plaid paper for quite some time. In fact, it's so old it is actually faded on one side. So this was perfect for this challenge! Here are my two cards

A close up using the sponosr Digi Darla's image,
And the second one. I totally don't remember who this digi is from (so if you know can you tell me> I'd like to give them credit :)
I cut out the poinsetta twice and popped it up, added stickles and some pearls. I think by adding the pearls it took away from the paper-lol. Here is a tip I learned : When you are popping up an image colour the bottom digi a dark grey. This not only makes it look nice but in fact adds a shadowing effect if slightly offset.

There is one week left to play at the Clear It Out Challenge blog. Hope to see you there :)

p.s. you may want to become a follower of my blog, big surprises are in store for next week!!

  3. Hi Laura, Followed you from Outlawz, and will be joining as a follower. I liked your cards. Didn't think the paper was ugly at all. It looked very pretty with the poinsettia and your little Christmas girl. I'll be back to visit again (I'm behind in checking blogs at the moment!), and hope if you have time, you'll visit my blog - if you like what you see, perhaps you'll join as a follower for me as well! Hugs.

  11. Hi, Laura,
One suggestion, if you turn off word verification, you will probably increase your followers and DT member are more likely to comment on your cards!
