It's Digi Darla Day!

It's time for another challenge at the Digi Darla Challenge Blog. Have you been playing along? Did you know you can win 5 digis from their store if you win? And if you play with a Digi Darla image, you can have a chance to win 3 more.

Here is the card I made for the theme this week : Celebration

I used the image Brittneys Balloons to make my card. She is coloured with copic markers. The papers are from my stash. The patterned paper is from SU.
The sentiment was also found in my stash. I've never used it becasue I don't have a 'secret sister'. But who knows, maybe I'll find out I have another sibling one day. And when I do, I'll have the perfect card ;)

Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to visiting your blogs to see what you've created :) Have a super week!

It's Hambo Time!

It's been a few weeks since I've played along at the Hambo Hoedown and I'm so glad I can join in again :)

The theme is to make something-anything but a card, so I did. My daughter will be going to a few summer camps and I've been thinking about ordering her some labels. Then I thought....can't I make my own? So here is my attempt at making homemade labels with the Hambo Stamps image BAILEY.

First, here is a close up. Please note I photshopped out her name for privacy reasons

I coloured the digi on my computer then used a microsoft template to print them off on address labels. I then added some card stock. Here I used washi tape to secure it to the bag.

To show you how it will be used I put it on a large paper bag (albeit a bit too big of a bag for this example-sorry)

So there you have it, it took me about 10 minutes to whip this up, and it will save me from ordering her the labels (about $20)

Thanks for stopping in :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

Head on down to the Digi Darla Challenge Blog and join in the Earth day fun! This challenge is right up my alley. I love to use up recycled bits to make my projects.

I used the Digi Darla Image called Picking Apples.

My recycled item is buttons! I love the cute little buttons that come on my daughters outfits. I have some adorable hearts, flowers, and bug buttons. I can't image how costly they are, but I don't buy them. If my daughters clothes are un-donatable (is that a word?) I cut off the buttons and throw them in my stash.

You have one week to play in the challenge to win 5 images from the Digi Darla Store. If you use a DD image, you get another chance to win 3 more!

AND

If you use 2 or more buttons on your creation you can enter it into my  Clear it Out Challenge Blog. The prize is 5 DD images. So you would have a chance to win 13 digis, that's insane!!!

I look forward to seeing your recycled creations :)

It's Hambo Hoedown time!

It's time to party at the Hambo Hoedown! The challenge this week is to use webbing (or dry wall tape in my case)

I used the Hambo Stamps digi called Plate Spinner. I purchased some papers at Michael's recently that were on sale (about .50). I had no idea what I was going to use them for but I liked the 'big top' theme. Here is my card

I used the drywall tape in the background and added a ribbon to the cardstock. I also popped up the circle sentiment and the tea cups for dimension. To finish it off I paper pierced the one corner for detail.

Thanks for popping by! Have a super duper weekend :)

CDAC challenge

The challenges are on again at the CDAC!
There are 5 challenges currently in progress. The card I am sharing today is for the Progressive challenge. The image is from Nana Vic.

The sentiment is from TLC. I cut the image out twice so I could pop it up with dimensionals. I coloured it with my copic markers and added the bow. Have you seen the 'fork tutorial' on how to make mini bows? Google it. They are super easy to make and add such a cute detail to cards.

Thanks for stopping by today, I appreciate your comments :)

Digi Darla Challenge Time!

Happy Monday morning or as I like to call it Happy DD Challenge Day!

So I have to tell you, I love Spring. I love to see the new growth sprouting, the birds singing, the fresh air. But to be honest, I don't like gardening. I guess I've never been properly taught how to garden, and yes I do believe you need to be taught HOW to garden. I base this on my previous experience of simply planting and praying for results. Apparently you have to water things, kill things (bugs), and plant them in specific areas (not to much sun, full sun, etc.) To much work for this momma of 3!

I have tried. Really, I have. Even thought one year I'd get the boys involved in helping me dig to plant. That was a HUGE mistake.. Couple that with my son showing up at the back door with a fist of full of green stuff he has newly discovered and you can image my frustration in gardening.

Anywho,  I had such a fun time colouring up the image DD Dogwood Bouquet for the challenge this week over at the Digi Darla Challenge Blog called : "How does your garden grow?" - Show us your flowers, trees or veggies.

Yep, these flowers I can handle! Thanks for stopping by and remember the winner gets 5 images from the Digi Darla Designs store. Use a DD image and you could get 3 more! Good luck :)

From the Heart Card

Hello :)

I have been M.I.A. this week. It's been uber crazy with appointments, the kids and life in general. I need to be still. That is something I am always working on.

Anywho, I did have some time to sneak away to my craft room tonight and create a card for some challenges. The first one is the progressive challenge over at From the Heart Stamps.

The image we were given to create with is called 'flower pot chick'. If you played along last month the image was free. If you didn't but want to join in, click on the link above to find out how.

Here is the card I made.

Teehee, isn't it cute? I used my Copics to colour it up and added glitter to the flowers.

The second challenge is at the CDAC  -seasonal fun. This image reflects what I always do at this time of the year- buy myself a container of pink tulips. I'm just to darn impatient for the real ones to come up-lol

This card is a perfect way to let you all know I'm 'Just Chickin' In' and will be back soon with some more cards :) Have a great weekend!

Hugs
Laura

Take me out to the ball game!

It's challenge time over at the Digi Darla Challenge Blog the theme:

"Take me out to the Ball Game" 'Include a Banner, Pennant or Flag on your project.

I have played baseball since I was a little peanut, I just love the game. I recently found my t-ball medal from the 80's along with some baseball cards and my tickets to the world series the Jays won back in 1992. Aw the memories :)

My husband took me to a game shortly after we met. He won't take me to another one. Apparently I get a little loud-lol.

Anywho, here is my card

I used the DD image Baseball girl and coloured her up with my copics.
You have one week to play along in the challenge. The winner gets 5 images of there choice. Use a DD image and you can win 3 more!

Thanks for stopping by :)

It's time to Clear it Out!

Head on over to the Clear it Out Challenge Blog to play along in the current challenge 'SPRING'
The stash item to use up is flowers.

I have a ton of paper flowers...a ton. But one thing I have and never use is pewter flowers. I think they are beautiful but I never use them. (Partly because they are a little heavy too. )

I used the image crab flower from Bugaboo Stamps. They are the sponsor this week and you could win up to 7 images. That's $21 value! Awesome :)

I distressed the card edges and coloured the crab with my Copic markers. I used twine for the base adding the pewter flower in the corner.
I Stickle glittered the flower, then decided to throw my next card on top of it before it finished drying. Ya know, just to keep it interesting ;)
So I added the pearl in the middle to cover the layer of paper that ripped off from the other card.

Yep, it's been a day! Hopefully yours will be better :)
Thanks for popping in

Laughter is the best medicine!

It's challenge time at the Digi Darla Challenge blog. The theme is laughter-make someone smile.
I used the Digi Darla image 'Potty Training Boy'.

I coloured him with my Copic markers and printed the sentiment off my computer. On the back I wrote 'hope this makes your day a little sweeter'

Hope this little guy made you laugh :)  You can enter the challenge and win five digis, use a Digi Darla image and you could earn 3 more! Good luck, I look forward to seeing what you have created!

It's also time once again to play at the CDAC. I am entering this into the 'anything goes' challenge :) They have tons of challenges going on, so pop over and check it out!
