Back again today with another post. Yep, on fire this week! lol. Okay not really, but I did manage to get a few cards done while the kiddos were sleeping.
This week's challenge at the Hambo Hoedown is to use polka dots! My favourite paper ever is polka dots. Actually if I was more adventurous I'd have polka dots everywhere in my house :)
My original instinct was to use polka dots as a background paper, but I decided to paper piece the digi 'Flower Monster' by Hambo Stamps instead. He comes with some fabulous sentiments but I knew exactly who I was going to give this too and made up my own.
Here is my take on this challenge:
I printed him out on polka dot paper and used my copic markers to add some shadowing. I then added sparkle to the flower and popped him up in pop dots.
Have a fabulous day!

July Guest Designer for Digi Darla!
Did you all have fun on the blog hop from Digi Darla last week?
I was given the image WEDDING BLISS to use and I get to give it away to one lucky commenter.
Firstly, thank you all for your kind comments. I love to hear what you think, especially when you comment on a specific feature of the card.
Anywho, the winner is Edwina "Your card is so pretty! You did a great job with it.the roses and leaves are beautiful. Love the softness of the card. Thanks for sharing. Edwina" Thanks Edwina :)
The challenge at Digi Darla's is "Noah's Ark" 2 by 2 (2 of something on your
creation). I used 2 buttons
For this challenge I used the image 'Grace paints' . When I first saw this I knew exactly what I was going to do. Don't you love when a digi inspires you like that!
Here is the process I used called Masking to get the background.
Cut out a second image. I used regular printer paper
Cover your image. Here you could use some spray tack to put it on. I just simply use my hands <--really high tech
Take your ink pad and push the lid against it so ink goes on to the lid.
Take your aqua painter and gently squeeze a bit of water out. Mix it with the ink and start painting.
Easy peasy. No rules. My only suggestion would be not to go back and forth. I find it easiest to go in one direction with the brush.
Faux matching twine - for the twine I simply wrapped regular white twine (I got from the dollar store eons ago) around my bone folder. (a ruler would do). I took a matching copic marker and drew lines along the string on the diagonal. Voila, matching twine!!
Thanks for stopping by!

It's time for another challenge at MelJen's Design! This round it's anything goes.
I thought I would couple this challenge with the DYSU challenge 'for a friend'.
I really enjoy this mouse from MelJen's. It is such a versatile image you could use it for many occasions.
I coloured it with my copic markers and added some sparkle to the flower. The sentiment was typed up on the computer. The picture is dark (sorry) the background is a distressed grey paper with pink, yellow and beige dots. I love it!
If you haven't popped over to MelJens' blog you may want to visit. They have their DT showing off their craft spaces. It's neat to see how others store their stash :)

Whoopsie!
I was so busy running around that I forgot to post my Digi Darla Guest Designer post!!
Please forgive me. I promise you won't be disappointed when you see the image I got to play with. Let me introduce you to.....Aviator Kitty!
Of course every Aviator Kitty needs a sparkly plane as she spreads her 'happy hellos' in the sky!
I hope you have a chance to play along in the challenge called 'Anything with wheels'. There is an extra incentive for playing...a free digi! Go check it out :)
I'd also like to enter this into the DYSU challenge-for a friend. Don't you think this would be a great card for a friend across the pond?

Clear it Out Challenge Blog
There is still a DT call going on at the Clear it Out Challenge Blog, deadline is Aug 7th. All levels welcome. Read the posting here to apply
Challenge ends Aug 6th!
Get Punchy with the Hambo Hoedown!
It's Hambo Hoedown Time, woot woot! This week the challenge is to use your punches. Using the image 'Sunglasses' by Hambo Stamps I created this card
I used the tag punch, corner punch, and scallop edge punch. I added a few gems, faux stitched in some areas, and popped up the sunglasses. I am sooo not a purple and yellow kinda gal but I tried using up some scraps I had. What do you think? Yeah or nah?

It's challlenge time!
Head on over to the Clear it Out Challenge blog for a Christmas in July themed challenge!
My image choice was this beautiful digi from Digi Darla Designs called 'manger scene'.
I was a little intimated to colour this digi as it is soooo detailed, but I went slow and think it ended up great!
It maybe hard to see but the star and baby Jesus have some sparkle on them. I've really enjoyed have Digi darla sponsor our challenge blog and hope you'll play along to win some fabulous digis from them!

July Guest DT at Digi Darlas
Another week has come and gone and a new challenge begins at Digi Darla's challenge blog! Not only are they having me back as a Gt this week but they are also sponsoring us again at the Clear it Out Challenge, awesome!
This week's challenge is 'Animal Crackers'. I had a little fun with my digi "Digi Darla's Chick 2".
Hope this brings a smile to your face ;)
I had some left over yellow bits of ribbon so I folder them over and made a sun.
Thanks for looking, I hope you have a fantastic day :)

You're high on my list of blessings!
What a fabulous saying! Just one of the great sayings that accompany the digi Stilts by Hambo Stamps. If you missed your chance to get it for free (simply by playing along) you can purchase it in their store.
For the challenge this week at the Hambo Hoedown Challenge Blog we are to make 'tall' cards.
I almost never make tall cards so I had to look up the dimensions of one.
Here is my card:
I cut up the sentiment and made it float amongst the clouds. Adding a heart to the last cloud. I added glitter to the clouds and heart.
Thanks a bunch for stopping by. Don't forget to also stop by the Clear It Out Challenge blog as there is a freebie AND DT calling going on til Monday night!
Happy Crafting :)

Hambo Hoedown Pocket Challenge
It's challenge time again at Hambo Hoedown! This week make a pocket somewhere on your project.
Here is my card using the Hambo Digi called 'computer'. I made my pocket by slicing a line at the edge of the computer. The backing paper holds it in place.
TIP: Don't throw out those have used, messed up rub ons!
So one of the things I am trying do so this year is use up my stash. I came across some rub ons that were missing letters, images etc. Here I took two separate (messed up) sayings (100% guaranteed & so proud of you) and merged them together. Voila, instant sentiment from rub ons destine for the garbage :)
