What's the Point? A MelJen's Challenge

It's challenge time over at the MelJen's Challenge Blog. The theme-What's the point? Use a pointy thing in your card.

I used the new digi called Hula Diva.

Here is my card

I just love this new line of 'Divas' :) My image was coloured in Copics, I made the arrow out of left over scraps and chalked the edges. I added some glitter and flowers to finish it off.

Thanks for popping by :) Have a super day!

It's time to Clear it Out!

It's time for another challenge at the Clear it Out Challenge Blog!

The challenge is to use 2 or more patterned papers. The are some fab sponsors this week; The Stamping Chef and Bugaboo Stamps.

The card I made this week uses a Bugaboo Stamp called Make it Snappy, thanks a bunch.
I changed the sentiment and created my card

I used my copic markers to colour it and a white gel pen to highlight some areas. The dragonfly I've had in my stash for years.
Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to seeing your creations :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

Head on over to the Digi Darla Challenge blog and play in the current challenge :

"You Make Me Spin Round and Round" Make a round card.

I used the DD image Lil' Mermaid Friends 10,you can get it free when you become a Digital Stamp Club Member-check it out here.

Have you ever told your child to be careful, only for them to say 'yes, I know mom', usually followed by a huff or eye roll.

I started telling them that accidents don't happen on purpose. Really they don't. Otherwise they wouldn't be called accidents.

Anywho, that is where my sentiment comes in. My 4 year old responded back one day 'mommy, what do you mean on purpose?'. So I said some things happen because we want them to. And some things happen that we don't want  to, that is an accident.

My daughter mulled it over and said ' Mommy, I love you on purpose. I want to love you cause you love me'
That kid of mine is so stinkin' cute.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

It's time for another challenge at the Digi Darla Challenge Blog. Have you been playing along? Did you know you can win 5 digis from their store if you win? And if you play with a Digi Darla image, you can have a chance to win 3 more.

Here is the card I made for the theme this week : Celebration

I used the image Brittneys Balloons to make my card. She is coloured with copic markers. The papers are from my stash. The patterned paper is from SU.
The sentiment was also found in my stash. I've never used it becasue I don't have a 'secret sister'. But who knows, maybe I'll find out I have another sibling one day. And when I do, I'll have the perfect card ;)

Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to visiting your blogs to see what you've created :) Have a super week!

It's Hambo Time!

It's been a few weeks since I've played along at the Hambo Hoedown and I'm so glad I can join in again :)

The theme is to make something-anything but a card, so I did. My daughter will be going to a few summer camps and I've been thinking about ordering her some labels. Then I thought....can't I make my own? So here is my attempt at making homemade labels with the Hambo Stamps image BAILEY.

First, here is a close up. Please note I photshopped out her name for privacy reasons

I coloured the digi on my computer then used a microsoft template to print them off on address labels. I then added some card stock. Here I used washi tape to secure it to the bag.

To show you how it will be used I put it on a large paper bag (albeit a bit too big of a bag for this example-sorry)

So there you have it, it took me about 10 minutes to whip this up, and it will save me from ordering her the labels (about $20)

Thanks for stopping in :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

Head on down to the Digi Darla Challenge Blog and join in the Earth day fun! This challenge is right up my alley. I love to use up recycled bits to make my projects.

I used the Digi Darla Image called Picking Apples.

My recycled item is buttons! I love the cute little buttons that come on my daughters outfits. I have some adorable hearts, flowers, and bug buttons. I can't image how costly they are, but I don't buy them. If my daughters clothes are un-donatable (is that a word?) I cut off the buttons and throw them in my stash.

You have one week to play in the challenge to win 5 images from the Digi Darla Store. If you use a DD image, you get another chance to win 3 more!

AND

If you use 2 or more buttons on your creation you can enter it into my  Clear it Out Challenge Blog. The prize is 5 DD images. So you would have a chance to win 13 digis, that's insane!!!

I look forward to seeing your recycled creations :)

It's Hambo Hoedown time!

It's time to party at the Hambo Hoedown! The challenge this week is to use webbing (or dry wall tape in my case)

I used the Hambo Stamps digi called Plate Spinner. I purchased some papers at Michael's recently that were on sale (about .50). I had no idea what I was going to use them for but I liked the 'big top' theme. Here is my card

I used the drywall tape in the background and added a ribbon to the cardstock. I also popped up the circle sentiment and the tea cups for dimension. To finish it off I paper pierced the one corner for detail.

Thanks for popping by! Have a super duper weekend :)
