We are bringing out the GREEN over at the Digi Darla blog!
I used the DD image Flower Girl, colouring her up wit my copic markers
I had fun colouring her dress and adding my own black dots to her. I used rub ons (making memories and Stampin' Up) The flower is from my stash as is the button.
This challenge runs for two weeks (changed from one week), check out all the details on the challenge here for your chance to win.
Don't forget today is the last day to enter on my blog to win some candy from the Clear it out challenge :)

It's Dig Darla Day!
This is the last weekly challenge at the Digi Darla Blog, they will be switching to bi-weekly. Which means, more time to play!
This week it's a Masculine challenge and I chose to create with the digi Groovy Handyman.
The image is over-sized so I kept the rest of the card fairly simple. I chose this digi as it reminded me of my great-uncle who recently passed. He used to stop by our house everyday when I was a kid with his giant red lunch box. Everyday he'd be so excited to see what 'the wifey' packed and made something so small seem like the greatest part of our day.
The challenge runs for one week and you can win 5 images from the Digi Darla store. See you tomorrow for the Clear it out Challenge Blog hop!

Clear it out challenge time!
It's time to Clear it out! The theme is reds-super easy!
Our fantastic sponsor is Digi Darla Designs. I am very fortunate to be a part of the DT for Digi Darla as there as some great digis.
I am using one of my favourite types of images from DD (which is all the cute little people) -Fireman Frank
I used up some red scraps and cut out hearts. The paper under the sentiment is from a 12x12 paper I bought in 2009 (yes, I may need to go on an episode of hoarders) The black boarder is from recollections, it's a paper sticker border.
I made this for the hubbie to make him giggle-it worked ;)
Thanks for stopping by, the challenge runs until Monday night.

It's Digi Darla Day
It's a photo challenge at the Digi Darla blog this week. Use the photo to inspire you to create-easy peasy!
I used the Digi Called ' Thinking of you in your loss'
I chose to use the theme of the picture, as well as, the colours white/green/yellow. I added brads to the centers of the flowers. I also used some glittery swirls to make it look 'prettier'
The Digi Darla challenge runs for one week AND there is some big news so pop on over there and find out what it is!

It's Digi Darla day
Welcome back to my blog :) Last weeks posts were a mess and didn't post as scheduled. Mind you, I scheduled them for the wrong week so that may explain a few things (sigh).
I was away at a funeral but I am glad to be back in the swing of things.
Today's challenge at the Digi Darla Challenge blog is 'copy cat'. Hop on over there and get your free digi so you can play too. Here is my take on the challenge
I chose to make a clean and simple card. To make the shadowing I cut out the image 3 times and offset the hearts and banner. I coloured it up with my copic markers and added gems around the heart. I also used the tip of my markers to add colour around the heart too. Bakers twine finished of the top.
The challenge runs for 1 week. Prize is 5 digis of your choice :) Looking forward to seeing your creations!

It's Digi Darla Day
(Okay maybe it was yesterday...but you still have some time to play)
This has been a crazy week and I have preposted this post. Hopefully I will be back in action later this week once we are home.
Anywho, the challenge this week is 'your style'. I looked back through my Digi Darla cards and found one I think describes my style. This one uses Digi Darla's Manger scene
All my cards are made with love. I try to always let the image be the focal point (verses tons of flowers/papers, etc) Other than that, I use up what I have.
So what's your style? I'll be back before the challenge ends (this Saturday) to check out your blogs. Can't wait to see what you create :)

It's Digi Darla day!
Head on over to the Digi Darla challenge blog for a vintage photo inspiration challenge!
I used the digi All things bloom with love on my card
From the photo I chose to use the flowers, pearls and beige colours ( in my paper and lace). I don't think I've ever made a card with just a sentiment but I think it turned out lovely. I really like photo inspiration challenges because it gets interpreted in so many different ways. I can't wait to see how it inspired you!
The challenge runs for one week. The winner gets 5 digis. If you use a Digi Darla image you get entered into a draw for 3 more.
See you next week!

L is for....
It's Digi Darla challenge day! The theme is an alphabet challenge.
I chose to use the digi Lil Love is Birds
I've been working on doing C.A.S. type of cards and think this fits that. This digi was super cute to colour up with my copics and the washi tape made it super easy to put together.
The challenge runs for one week and the winner gets 5 free digis. Use a Digi Darla image and you can win 3 images!

Hello...I'm back!
Hi, my name is Laura and it's been 7 days since my last post....did you miss me? lol
I was off visiting family out of town and came back to a very icy town. Thankfully we weren't in any of the 30+ accidents on the road. I'm so glad to be back home. I love visiting but nothing seems as comfy as my own bed.
The challenge this week at Digi Darla's is a photo inspiration.
Over the break we saw the movie Frozen and that's exactly what I felt when I saw the photo-lol.
I had originally tried to make a scene from that movie using these two digis
Natural beauty and
Fair Maiden Castle
It didn't work out so good, seems I have a lot of learning to do still with making the sky/clouds. So, instead I used Natural Beauty and created this card using a quote from the movie
If you 're up for a challenge I'd love to see if you can make a scene using those two digis. I think it would be so cute!
The DD challenge runs until next Sat. and you can win 5 digis Use a DD image and you are entered into a separate draw for 3 images!

Fa la la la-inspiration
It's Digi Darla day so head on over and join the challenge.
It's 'Inspired by a song' this challenge and I used the cute little digi called 'Boy with Flowers'. You can find it here.
I used some left over scraps for the background and added 3 buttons in a row. Yes, they were in a perfect row, but when I came back in the morning to take the picture they went all wonky. I think it works though?
Anywho, I coloured up the digi with my copic markers and added a 'love' pennant (made from a tooth pick)
And voila-done!
My song is "love me tender' by Elvis.
You have one week to play along as we head into 2014! The winner gets their choice of 5 digital images.
2014-wowie, time flies :) See you tomorrow

It's Digi Darla Day
It's almost time Christmas time-yippee!
It's also Digi Darla day-woohoo! Do you have some time off this week? Why not join in the fun!
It's a 'Fa-la-la' theme meaning anything goes.
While this card may seem a little off in it's timing, I have a fellow I know finishing his term in Jan and I wanted to be prepared.
I used the digi-Grad guy (Isn't he super cute???)
The challenge runs for one week and you can win 5 digis!! I'll be poking around your blogs as time allows.
Until then, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Be blessed my friends!
Hugs
Laura

Fa la la la, It's challenge time!
It's Digi Darla day so head on over and join in the fun! The themes this month have been around the song 'deck the halls'. This week it's 'fa la la la la' use felt/wool in your project.
I've been trying to make a few masculine cards and came up with this card using the DigiDarla ornament #5 digi
I used a felt ribbon I scored from Michael's for under a buck, snowflakes from my SU stash, and glossy accents to add a shine to the ornament. I also added some gems to give it a little bling ;)
The challenges at Digi Darla's are going right through the holidays so make sure you check in each week.
This challenge will end on the 22nd and you can win 5 digis from the Digi Darla Design store.
I'll be checkin' in to see what you've made :)
Hugs

It's Digi Darla Day!
Head on over to the Digi Darla Challenge Blog and join in the weekly challenge!
The theme this week is 'Santa or Snowman'
I used the Digi Santa and Mistletoe
I used a peek-a-boo type of card where the image is in the inside.
I layered up the front with red, green, and designer papers. I added a scallop on top of the circle for detail. I wanted the image to pop and didn't want to use the 'wrong reds' so I opted for graying the area around the digi. I think it did a good job at highlighting it.
The challenge runs for one week and you can win 5 digis-that's $15 dollars worth of goodies! Wouldn't that be an awesome Christmas present??
Can't wait to visit your blog and check out what you've created!

Digi Darla Challenge Day
Head on over to the Digi Darla Challenge blog and join in the fun! Not only is there a free digi to play along with, there are some awesome cards by the DT -you just have to check it out!
Here is a tag I made using the freebie
I used copics to colour the holly, a white gel pen to make the faux sewing and a SU ribbon from my stash. The sentiment and image where layered in word and printed. I cut out the back end of the image to make it appear like it was off the tag. Super quick and easy.
I hope you'll join us in the challenge. It runs for one week and you can win 5 digis from the Digi Darla Store!
See you tomorrow for the Clear it Out Challenge post!

Clear it out challenge
It's a 'snow ' theme over at the Clear it Out challenge blog!
I used a digi from one of our long time sponsors, Digi Darla Designs called SnowFlake Fairy. Isn't she cute?
I used my copic markers to colour her. The background paper is from SU (Stampin Up) I've had for a few years. The ribbon is one I've had forever. (So long ago I can't even remember what I bought it for, lol)
.
I added Stickles to the snowflakes because even fairies need to bling it out sometimes ;)
Have a super day and don't forget to play along! There are 3 sponsors this challenge so chances of winning are pretty good!

It's Digi Darla Day!
It's challenge time at the Digi Darla Challenge blog. Our theme is a photo inspiration and a quote.
I married a warm guy. It could be 30 below and he would only need a t shirt because he is hot. Of course I would be beside him in a parka, with 7 layers of clothes on, and a blanket and most likely a heater turned on too.
So when I saw this digi called 'Groovy love' I had to get it. I knew just what I was going to do....
How perfect is that? I coloured it up with my copic markers and layered that onto some SU scrap paper I had. I used SU ribbon and a button from my stash to add a little detail. The background paper is from Jillibean soup.
Thanks for popping by, I hope to see you playing along. The challenge runs for one week and you can win up to 8 digis ( 5 for winning, 3 more if you use a Digi Darla image!)

It's Digi Darla Day!
It's time for a brand new challenge at the Digi Darla Challenge Blog.
The theme is Berrylicious. So anything goes as long as it has berries on it!
I saw this digi in the shop and new I had to use it. It's called Digi Darla Owl Wreath coloured. I also used the sentiment Because you mean so much Christmas.
This was card was easy peasy to put together. My crafty time has been on hiatus since the hubbie has been laid off. Now I have to do stuff-lol. We are renovating our kitchen so I can't let him do all the work while I play.....sigh, darn guilt!!
I used my word program to layer the images and used half the sentiment on the outside of the card, the remainder 'at Christmas and always' is on the inside. To add depth I added a green hue to the wreath, also in word. Crystal effects was added to the berries to make them shine and stand out a bit.
The paper and ribbon are from SU ( I've had forever and can't remember the colour~sorry) Can you believe I didn't use ANY copic markers in this card? Yep, it's that cute on it's own ;)
The DD challenge runs for one week. You can win 5 images of your choice, just in time for making your Christmas cards! If you use a Digi Darla image you can also win 3 images :) Can't wait to see what you've made!
