Digi Darla Challenge

This week at Digi Darla's, the challenge is 'Summertime". They have teamed up with Bugaboo again for some great prizes! This week I chose to use a Bugaboo image and combine it with my son's teacher gift. It is a pocket card with a bookmark. Inside I have added a gift card to our local book store.

I left the bookmark blank but plan on writing a quote on it. So the teacher will have a bookmark to hold her page as she reads her new book :)

Clear it Out Challenge-ribbon

This week at the Clear it Out Challenge Blog the theme is anything goes! The stash item to use up is ribbon. I made a card for my sons teacher using an image from the sponsor this week Bugaboo.

I used up some left over polka dot ribbon from SU to make a flower, adding a brad to the middle. I  used the same ribbon and layered a black ribbon over top. The image called 'Deacon School' was coloured with copics and my son wrote his teacher's name.

He really had a special teacher this year, one of the rare gems who really cares and goes the extra effort. My son just adored her and we both will be sad when he switches school at the end of the year.

It's Hambo Hoedown time again! Get out your black and white stash and come play along! This week we got to use the digi called NUN (by Hambo Stamps). It comes with some fab sentiments that could be used for many occasions!

I am giving this lovely to my f-i-l's significant other. My grandmother -in -law is in her final days and she has been hosting everyone at their home. I think she is doing a wonderful job feeding, cleaning up and hosting everyone. A somewhat 'thankless' job

Good morning fellow crafters! I am in an unusually good mood this morning ( I am sooo not a morning person)  The sun is shining, the birds are singing, my children laughing-can't ask for anything more :)

Today I have a card for you that I made for the Digi Darla Challenge Blog. I purchased this cute little penguin at the Digi Darla shop, added a tie, made an igloo, added a few more things and voila! A stinkin' cute card my daughter has claimed as her own.  That's right, despite my efforts to convince her we should give it to daddy, it is hers!!! I'm hoping she'll change her mind for Sunday-lol.

Just under the wire!

I'm cutting it close tonight on the Hambo Hoedown Challenge this week! I simply ran out of time. We had a blast at Great Wolf Lodge, followed by PD days at school, soccer (times 3 kids), etc.
Somewhere in there I did find time to make a card-yipee!

I used the image Snorkel Boy and added some glitter to the fish, glossy accents to his snorkel. Popped one of the fish up, added twine, and lastly made dashes on the outside perimeter of the card.

 So I've decided my picture taking skills stink and I need a new camera. Any thoughts on what to buy? I also would like to get some great images of my children.....what do you use?

Surprise-Hambo Challenge

This week the challenge at the Hambo Hoedown is a sketch! I used a combination of 2 digis from Hambo to make my card, the image 'Monster Yell' and the sentiment from the digi 'Bailey Flower'.

Please forgive my photo taking, the photo is a little wonky. (The base is actually purple if that gives you an indication of how 'off' it is.)
