It's Penny Challenge time!

Welcome back to my blog :)

I am busy preparing a week full of Sunday school lessons for camp next month. I am so hard on myself, worrying if I have enough things for the little ones to do. I usually over plan and of course with little ones you never really know what journey they will take you on. This year I am focusing on the parable of the Wise and Foolish Builder.

Anywho, back to the task at hand! It's time to play along in Pennys challenge. The theme is anything goes and there is a new sponsor this week

I had oodles of fun colouring this one up. If I could pick a picture of my bestie and me in 50 years, this is what we'd look like

We'd of course have on our sensible brown shoes, but other than that we are so different. She is a professional and therefore mostly wears practical outfits. I love fun things to wear like polka dots. That being said on more than one occasion we have bought the same outfit or shoes-lol.

I coloured this with my copics and made the sentiment on my computer. The flower and button I've had forever and I added twine to it. The grey adhesive ribbon was added to break up the paper and the gems where added at the bottom just because...okay maybe not really. I thought we had to add sparkle so I glittered up the gals shopping bags (and one hat) and added the gems.

If I wasn't so consumed by my Sunday school project I would have realized the sponsor was Sparkle N' Sprinkle. Not that I had to add sparkle to my project!!!

Thanks for stopping by, I do hope you will join us. The challenge runs for one week

Clear it out challenge time!

It's a yellow challenge at the Clear it out challenge blog!

Head on over and see what the gals created with our sponsor

I used the adorable image Macy Boo for my card.
I really wanted to play up the yellow so I busted out the copic markers and made this

I made the starburst pattern and went from there. I added flowers from my stash and then added a star. It just needed something in that corner. The sentiment is from my computer.

When my children were younger they each had a specific song I would sing to them. For my daughter it was 'you are my sunshine'. I love at almost  6, she still crawls in my arms and asks me to sing it.

Anywho, the challenge runs for one week and since it's a random draw, anyone can win!

I hope you'll join us

I'd also like to enter this into the Lacy Sunshine contest 'flowers'

It's an anything goes challenge!

Head on over for an anything goes challenge at Penny's challenges!

I love this type of challenge, because if you make a card you could win from our sponsors. No rules, no restrictions, just be creative! I'm good with that :)

The sponsor I got to work with is Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet

Here is the card I made

I had a lot of fun colouring up my brown bear with my copic markers. I just love how the copics blend
together.
The stars were punched with an SU punch and I added the banner and my saying in word before I printed my image

Penny's challenge runs for one week. You can check out all the details and the other DT fab work here

Thanks for stopping by ;)

It's time to Clear it out!

It's challenge time at Clear it out and we are cleaning out our glitter stash.

I was recently at a friends house and she had 2 containers full of glitter. Unopened. She had so much, she didn't know what to do with it all. It just accumulated over time. My first thought-make some Christmas cards!

I love sparkle in all my cards, I could own shares in Stickles-lol.

Here is the card I made using an image from the Stitchy Bear Outlet Store, (our sponsor) it's called Elf Secrets from Stitchy Stamps

The DP is old, old Stampin' up paper, as is the scalloped border. The snowflakes were punched out and a pearl added. The red glittered ribbon is self adhesive and I added more glitter to the elf's hat. She was coloured in Copics. The sentiment is a stamp also from SU (Stampin' Up)

The challenge runs for one week, thanks so much for stopping by.

Melonheadz Friends-come play along!

It's a 'things with wings' challenge at Melonheadz Friends!

Follow the theme or use a Melonheadz image and chose your own theme to enter.

Here is a card I made to showcase Nikki's lovely images

I found the cute background paper at Michaels on sale for .25 cents (or something cheap) but I thought it worked great with this image I coloured up with my copic markers. The sentiment I made in word and punched it out with my SU punch. I added a ribbon and Stickles around the clouds to add some bling.

There are lots of images to chose from at the Melonheadz Etsy store, or browse the blog for a freebie or two. Either way, there is two weeks to play along. I hope you'll join us :)

Digi Sketch Challenge

Hello folks, welcome back to my blog :)

Today I am posting a card I made for the Digi Sketch challenge. The theme is 'Pretty Pastels' and there is a sketch to follow as well.

The sponsor for this challenge is Pink Gem Designs and I had the privilege of using their digi for my card.

This digi came pre-coloured and I added lots of glitter to make it sparkle. After all, Christmas cards should sparkle right?  I followed the sketch and added a giant snowflake to the top corner. The sentiment is actually a sticker I've had in my stash forever!

Thanks so much for stopping in. The challenge runs for two weeks  :)

Anything Goes at Penny's!

Wowie, where has this month gone? The kids and I have been super busy playing during the day, soccer at night and chillin' somewhere in between.

Today there is a new challenge at Penny's challenge blog
The theme is anything goes and one of the sponsors is

Often people thank my hubbie with little gifts because he does an excellent job in his field. That got me thinking....I don't see very many cards thanking people in the service industry. (I'm thinking teachers, dentists, hairstylists, construction workers, etc.)

Well here is my card that could work for so many people

The challenge at Penny's runs for one week. Check out the blog to see the other DT cards and who the other sponsor is :)
As always, thanks for stopping by!

Time to Clear it out!

Head on over to the Clear it out challenge blog for a Clean and Simple challenge.

We have 2 sponsors but had the privilege of using digital stamps from DeeDee's Digis

Here is what I made using the Daniels' Tree.  I think he's just ducky! Lol.

I had such a hard time trying to do a one layer card. I think it turned out okay though. I coloured it up with my copic markers and added sparkle to the snow. To add 'snow' to the tree I used my white gel pen. I finished it off with red twine and a punched snowflake.

The challenge runs for one week.

Thanks for stopping by

Lacy Sunshine challenge

Here is my card for the Lacy Sunshine 'Under the Sea Christmas' challenge.

It's a progressive challenge so if you play along you get the next digi for free :)  There is a whole lot of new digis out at Lacy Sunshine-you should check them out!

I coloured him up with my copics and used a sentiment I had in my stash (maybe from last Christmas?) Pearls, a bead and twine were added to finish it off. There are a lot of Christmas in July Challenges and I'd like to enter this into

Quirky Crafts-use a die cut/punches (circle and scallop punch for sentiment, corner punch)

Thanks for stopping by!

MelJen's challenge

It's challenge time at the MelJen's challenge blog. The theme is a colour challenge and I used the weekend freebie to make a card.

I have a friend who is struggling to lose some weight and it breaks my heart to hear her so sad. She is such a beautiful person (inside and out). I knew I was going to make a card for the Facebook challenge but was't sure what I was going to make. I thought making her this card would bring a smile to her beautiful face.

I coloured it up with my copic markers and added some glitter to the clouds. The heart button I've had in my stash forever, and printed the sentiment of the computer.

Thanks or stopping in, have a super day :)

It's a sketchy challenge at Clear it out!

Head on over to the Clear it out challenge blog for our first ever sketch challenge!

Here is a card I made using an adorable bunny 'Happy Spring'

Isn't he just the cutest? I coloured him with my copics and used up some SU papers I've had since 2007-ish. The yellow paper is embossed using an SU folder and I also added Stickles to the center of the flowers for bling. I added the flower and twine to finish it off  :)

Thanks for popping in, I hope you'll join our challenge!

MelJen's challenge

Look at me doing 3 posts in one day!
My littlest one is at home with me this week. I've had lots of crafty time as she is making herself a Hello Kitty scrapbook.  I just love the look of joy she has when she feels her masterpiece is done (although she has 10 more pages to go!)

Needless to say while she has been crafting away, so have I.
Over at the MelJen's challenge blog the theme is buttons

I had some leftover papers on my desk so I decided to play along. Here is what I made

I took the picture on an angle so you could see it popped up. The flower was popped up and I added a button to the middle.
I added twine and a button and followed the digi twine/button on the image. I think that gave it a cool 3d look. To finish it off I added some twine to the side.

This little mouse was so fun to play with!
MelJen's is also looking for some Guest designers, so if you have the time this summer you should  apply :) Sadly, I can't commit to much since I will be away but I'm hoping to throw my name in the hat come September

Thanks for stopping in!

It's in the garden challenge

Its challenge time at the Digi Sketch Challenge blog!

The theme is in the garden and the challenge will run until July 20th. The sponsor is

The image I chose to play with had several images both coloured and non-coloured. You can find it here

The card is C.A.S and shows off the image really well I think. I chose to use the theme AND the sketch.

For some reason we have tons of ants this year. Thankfully our dog dislikes them as much as us and gets rid of them for us. She's pretty impressive, she also jumps in the air and takes out wasps-lol.

Thanks for stopping in, I'm looking forward to seeing your creations :)

Melonheadz Challenge time

It's time for another fabulous challenge at Melonheadz Friends

This week the theme is 'Bookmarks' and as always, if you use a Melonheadz image your theme is anything goes.

I chose to use the Monthly Bookmark Bundle and I LOVE it! It has all the months, cute designs and a must have if you are a teacher.

I think it's a fab way to inspire a child to read. For this bookmark I used the pre-coloured image and added a flower and sentiment. On the back I have added the words 'My summer reading list' with some lines. With my daughter we have selected 25 books for her to read. Check it out

My daughter is a fantastic reader and is above her grade level. I don't think 25 books in 9 weeks will be too hard for her. Either way she gets little rewards along the way :)

The challenge runs for 2 weeks and the prize is one of Nikki's (Melonheadz) bundles from her Etsy shop

Thanks so much for stopping by, I look forward to seeing your creations!

It's a birthday celebration....

at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog! Eleanor and pickles are turning 2 and it's an anything goes theme.

Here is a card I made using one of Heather's flower pot pretties.

I coloured her up with my copic markers and used up some ugly paper for the background. I tried a different colour pallet than usual but I think it worked out all right. I added Stickles to the center of each flower for some bling.

I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges;
Fan-Tastic Tuesday
WordArt Wednesday

Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate it :)

It's Penny time!

Head on over to Penny's challenges and join us in the current challenge ' buttons, bows or butterflies'.

Our sponsor this week is

    Kenny K

Here is my card:

Sorry it's a bit dark. I had to relocate my picture box as we are converting my craft room into a room for my oldest son. Yes, I am so, so, so sad :(  Now, I'll have to find another space to escape too! Lol.

I coloured up the image with Copic Markers and used the background paper as a colour palette. I then popped up the images with dimensionals. Buttons and bows finished the card off.

The challenge at Penny's runs for one week and the winner gets 5 images!

Thanks for popping in :)
