It's Digi Darla Day!

It's time for the Father's to get some love this week at the Digi Darla Challenge Blog!

I used 2 digis this week from DD called : Cowboys Silhouette and Anyone can be a Father.

I used and old brayer and made the background using masking and Stampin' Up ink pads. I then cut out the image and put it all together. Really simple card with a great result :)

You have one week to play along in the challenge for a chance to win 5 digis. Use a DD image and you could win 3 more. So, what are you waiting for? I'll be popping by to check out your cards :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Circle punch for tag topper

MelJens' Teacher card

It's another challenge at the MelJen's challenge blog. This week the theme is text. I needed to make a quick male teacher card and this is what I came up with

Of course Melissa has lots of fun swirls and a heart that is over the worms head. I had cut out the image to fit the card and those things just didn't seem to fit the 'maleness' needed for the card. It was pretty quick and simply to make. I think I may be making a few more of these come June.
Thanks for stopping by :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

Head on over for a 3D challenge at the Digi Darla Challenge blog. You could win up to 8 digis. Five for a random winner and 3 more for using a Digi Darla image.

Here is a card I made using the DD digi called Candy Machine.

I used a whole bunch of dimensionals on this one (pop up sticky tabs).
The banner is popped up, the whole image, as well as, some of the gumballs. Isn't this a fab way to use up scraps? I used Copic markers to colour it up. I also used a white gel pen to add a little highlight on the gum balls.

I will be giving this to my son for his birthday. He has been bugging me for a long time to chew gum, to which I always say no. That and soda pop. Honestly, I can't fathom giving my kid pop. It's so bad for you! I guess now that he is older I have no choice but to say ok-to the gum. So inside I attached a pack of  Extra gum.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to seeing your creations :)

Clear it Out Mid-Challenge Post

The challenge at the Clear it Out Blog has one week left. Have you entered? You can find all the details here.

The card I made uses an image from The Stamping Chef called BitterSweet.

I don't typically use images like this. But somehow I was drawn to her. This is how I feel right now, broken. Trying to look like I have it all together but if you looked a little closer you would see I'm not. I've many things going on right now and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.

I'm deeply concerned about my husbands health.
I hurt for my child who needs services that he cannot access for up to two years and struggles daily.
My heart aches for the Bosma family and his unknown whereabouts.

I cling to this verse these days. Reminded that He has a purpose in all things, even though I do not understand

 http://gracewalk.files.wordpress.com/2006/11/isaiah41_10-11.jpg

Lord. I pray for your peace. Please help me to be strong enough to care for my husband. Calm enough to deal with my sons circumstances. Father, I lift up the Bosma family. May they feel your arms wrapped around them in love. Give them peace Lord, comfort them. Please guide the police in their investigation so Tim may be found. In Jesus name I pray,
Amen

Time to get sketchy at the Hambo Hoedown!

This is my second post today. It's a gloomy kind of day, perfect for crafting! So without further ado....

It's challenge time at the Hambo Hoedown!

The challenge this week is to use the sketch provided. I used the Digi Stamp by Hambo Stamps called Bird Birthday, to make my card.

I used up some scrap paper and added pearls to the corner of the image. I coloured the bird with my copic markers and stickled the balloon. The sentiment is included when you purchase the digi.
Thanks for stopping by :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

Head on over to the Digi Darla blog where you could win 5 images for playing along with the current challenge :

"Tag..You're It" Make a tag for any occasion.

My daughter recently informed me that her favourite colour is no longer purple. She also no longer likes Dora because that is for babies. She's 4. I can't wait to see how she is when she is a teenager ;)
Anywho, I made this tag to go on her door since Dora has been kicked to the curb. I will put her name in the top circle before I give it to her.

The digi is called Shamrock Fairy. Yep St. Patrick day images can be used any time of the year!

MelJen's Challenge Time

It time for another challenge at the MelJens challenge blog.

I scooped up this little monster digi when Melissa had a sale on at her shop. I couldn't help it, it's so cute :)

Here is a Mother's day card I made. My daughter wrote the word 'mom'. Inside she wrote 'from your little monster'.

We are going to give it to a close friend for Mother's day from her 2 year old son. Terrible 2's, remember that age? So glad we are past that!

Here is my card

I coloured the digi with my copics, then glittered it's feet and horns. I added white gel dots to it's cheeks and popped it up on dimensionals. The ribbon is from Stampin' Up (from my stash) and the paper I've had for a while. It's a bit bright and I never could find the right digi, til now ;)

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your comments.
Also, I added Bloglovin to the side bar. I'd love it if you signed up :)
Thanks, have a great night!

From the Heart-For you digi

Head on over to the Progressive Challenge at the From the Heart Blog. There you can pick up the adorable 'For You' image (if you didn't play last month). I decided to combine the challenge with the From the Heart Sketch challenge. Here is my card

Isn't it cute? I added the twitter-patted buttons from Stampin' Up I scooped up in the clearance section. The paper is from my stash. I embossed the background and added a flower to finish it off. I didn't add a sentiment yet. I think I'll wait until I know where its going.

Thanks for stopping by :)

What's the Point? A MelJen's Challenge

It's challenge time over at the MelJen's Challenge Blog. The theme-What's the point? Use a pointy thing in your card.

I used the new digi called Hula Diva.

Here is my card

I just love this new line of 'Divas' :) My image was coloured in Copics, I made the arrow out of left over scraps and chalked the edges. I added some glitter and flowers to finish it off.

Thanks for popping by :) Have a super day!

It's time to Clear it Out!

It's time for another challenge at the Clear it Out Challenge Blog!

The challenge is to use 2 or more patterned papers. The are some fab sponsors this week; The Stamping Chef and Bugaboo Stamps.

The card I made this week uses a Bugaboo Stamp called Make it Snappy, thanks a bunch.
I changed the sentiment and created my card

I used my copic markers to colour it and a white gel pen to highlight some areas. The dragonfly I've had in my stash for years.
Thanks for stopping by, I look forward to seeing your creations :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

Head on over to the Digi Darla Challenge blog and play in the current challenge :

"You Make Me Spin Round and Round" Make a round card.

I used the DD image Lil' Mermaid Friends 10,you can get it free when you become a Digital Stamp Club Member-check it out here.

Have you ever told your child to be careful, only for them to say 'yes, I know mom', usually followed by a huff or eye roll.

I started telling them that accidents don't happen on purpose. Really they don't. Otherwise they wouldn't be called accidents.

Anywho, that is where my sentiment comes in. My 4 year old responded back one day 'mommy, what do you mean on purpose?'. So I said some things happen because we want them to. And some things happen that we don't want  to, that is an accident.

My daughter mulled it over and said ' Mommy, I love you on purpose. I want to love you cause you love me'
That kid of mine is so stinkin' cute.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day :)
