Fa la la la-inspiration

It's Digi Darla day so head on over and join the challenge.

It's 'Inspired by a song' this challenge and I used the cute little digi called 'Boy with Flowers'. You can find it here.

I used some left over scraps for the background and added 3 buttons in a row. Yes, they were in a perfect row, but when I came back in the morning to take the picture they went all wonky. I think it works though?
Anywho, I coloured up the digi with my copic markers and added a 'love' pennant (made from a tooth pick)
And voila-done!

My song is "love me tender' by Elvis.

You have one week to play along as we head into 2014! The winner gets their choice of 5 digital images.

2014-wowie, time flies :) See you tomorrow

Seriously, how cute is that?
Melonheadz is also having a DT call and I've put my name in for it. Wish me luck, I'd be thrilled to be picked :)

Until next time, keep smiling!

Melonheadz Friends Challenge

Good morning everyone (waving hello)

I was up pretty late this morning. The kids were super quiet and hubbie had set the alarm early to get to work. I got woken up at 9:00 am by daughter who was hungry and asked if it was breakfast time yet. Poor monkey :(

Anywho, It's an Anything Goes challenge at Melonheadz Friends! Yeah!

I was trying to think a little outside the box and made this card using a freebie from the Melonheadz illustrating blog.

This cute koala is suppose to be all gray but my printer likes to surprise me sometimes and do it's own thing. Enter the gray and pink striped koala

I printed the sentiment off my computer, it reads ' I love spending Koala-T time with you'. I added some die cut leaves and twine to finish off my card. To make the shape of my card, I took a regular sized card and simply cut one inch away from the edges. I cut down about 1.3 inches down.

Thanks for popping by. I hope to see you again :)

Noel

I'm home now after a family Christmas visit. It's so nice to see family and create wonderful memories. As my daughter said ' It's so nice to see my cousins, you know because they aren't boys' Lol.
She was spoiled with girly things so I'm sure that will tie her over until the next visit. Must be so hard having two older brothers!

Before the kids were off on break I was busy making some crafty things. One thing I fell in love with was a Noel sign I saw on Pinterest. It was lovely and so I ventured off to the craft store. When I saw the price was $5 a letter, plus paint, plus a star, plus, plus my wallet cried.

So I started window shopping and saw these great cardboard letters for .75 cents. Now that was in my budget. I headed over to the dollar store and bought a large glittery star, as well as, some white shimmery paint. About 20 minutes later I had this

If you see it up close it shimmers. To get that 'woody' feel on the letters I dragged a fork through the paint. This removed a bit of the paint which then show the kraft letter base through.

To finish it off on my piano, I added a feather boa (dollar store), battery operated mini lights (dollar store) and a wooden nutcracker my husband painted years ago (between the star and the 'E')

So with a little creativity my $30+ project was $5.50! Score one for me :)

Thanks for popping by. With the kids home it's a little hard to find time to craft, but I'll be back in a day or two. See you then.

It's Digi Darla Day

It's almost time Christmas time-yippee!

It's also Digi Darla day-woohoo! Do you have some time off this week? Why not join in the fun!
It's a 'Fa-la-la' theme meaning anything goes.

While this card may seem a little off in it's timing, I have a fellow I know finishing his term in Jan and I wanted to be prepared.

I used the digi-Grad guy (Isn't he super cute???)

The challenge runs for one week and you can win 5 digis!! I'll be poking around your blogs as time allows.
Until then, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Be blessed my friends!

It's time to Clear it Out

It's challenge time at the Clear it Out Challenge blog. The theme is warm fuzzies, use texture.

I used a digi called Angel Bear from Beary Dust Stamps.

For my texture I used Stickles on the wings, and a white glittered chipboard for the 'snow'. I also added a ribbon in the corner and pop dots to the bear.

You can find this and many other artists in the Stitchy Bears Digital Outlet
The challenge runs until Jan 6th so there is lots of time to play! Can't wait to see what you create

Fa la la la, It's challenge time!

It's Digi Darla day so head on over and join in the fun! The themes this month have been around the song 'deck the halls'. This week it's 'fa la la la la' use felt/wool in your project.

I've been trying to make a few masculine cards and came up with this card using the DigiDarla ornament #5 digi

I used a felt ribbon I scored from Michael's for under a buck, snowflakes from my SU stash, and glossy accents to add a shine to the ornament. I also added some gems to give it a little bling ;)

The challenges at Digi Darla's are going right through the holidays so make sure you check in each week.
This challenge will end on the 22nd and you can win 5 digis from the Digi Darla Design store.
I'll be checkin' in to see what you've made :)

Couldn't resist one more....

It's snowing, it's snowing! Maybe we will have a white Christmas. Something so special about snow at Christmas time. I used to love opening my presents then going tobogganing, coming in for hot chocolate, then convincing my mom is was okay if my clothes were wet-I could totally go out and play some more :)

The good thing about the snow falling (and so much of it falling so quickly) is I get to stay in and play-yeah!

After seeing this one in my stash I knew I had to print it, colour it with my copics and enter it into the Melonheadz friends challenge blog

I just love this digi from Melonheadz. I love how the wise men are in the window coming to Jesus.

I made the card to look like a picture frame and suppose the recipient could hang it on a doorpost or something if they wanted.
Thank you for stopping by , I appreciate your lovely comments :)

Christmas craftiness

I thought I'd show you an ornament craft I facilitated at a women's retreat last year. The picture doesn't do it justice, it is really lovely.

Scroll down for the info on how to make it

I purchased the flat round ornament from Michael's and the ribbon is from my stash. The nativity scene is a silhouette I found online and photocopied onto acetate.
I cut the scene into a circle and punched a hole in the top, threading through fishing wire. You cannot see the wire but it is an important step so your image doesn't turn on you. You roll up your image and plop it inside using a popcicle stick/pen, etc to help straighten it out.
The faux crystal beads were found at the dollar store and really make this ornament sparkle. After all that, the lid gets put back on and the ribbon added. Fairly easy, with a huge impact :)

Thanks for popping by

Christmas time challenges

I've been busy making some Christmas cards and thought I'd make this cute simple elf card to play along in a few challenges :)

The first is Melonheadz Friends. I have been a big fan of Nikki's since 2011 and am so excited she has been growing her business successfully. This digi was a freebie last Christmas. The elf set was adorable!!!

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown  -What Christmas means to me-a time of family traditions. One of ours is the 'Elf on the Shelf'
Through the purple haze- use your favourite Christmas colours-I love the traditional red/white/green
Digi Haven-Christmas card

Thanks a bunch for stopping by,

Time to Clear it Out!

It's challenge time at the Clear it Out Blog, with an Anything Goes theme. And what a great time to do that! You have to make room for your new toys right?

I made this card using Lacy Sunshine's 'Santa's Helper'
Lacy Sunshine is one of 3 fabulous sponsors at the CIO blog.

So cute! I added a felt snowflake and  pearls  to the card. I used my copic markers to colour her.

I do hope you''ll join in the fun. The challenge is in it's last week and there are 3 prizes to win!

I'd also like to enter this into the Lacy Sunshine challenge blog. After getting a chance to play with this cutie-I'd love a shot to win some more!!

It's Digi Darla Day!

Head on over to the Digi Darla Challenge Blog and join in the weekly challenge!

The theme this week is 'Santa or Snowman'

I used the Digi Santa and Mistletoe

I used a peek-a-boo type of card where the image is in the inside.
I layered up the front with red, green, and designer papers. I added a scallop on top of the circle for detail. I wanted the image to pop and didn't want to use the 'wrong reds' so I opted for graying the area around the digi. I think it did a good job at highlighting it.

The challenge runs for one week and you can win 5 digis-that's $15 dollars worth of goodies! Wouldn't that be an awesome Christmas present??

Can't wait to visit your blog and check out what you've created!

Digi Darla Challenge Day

Head on over to the Digi Darla Challenge blog and join in the fun! Not only is there a free digi to play along with, there are some awesome cards by the DT -you just have to check it out!

Here is a tag I made using the freebie

I used copics to colour the holly, a white gel pen to make the faux sewing and a SU ribbon from my stash. The sentiment and image where layered in word and printed. I cut out the back end of the image to make it appear like it was off the tag. Super quick and easy.

I hope you'll join us in the challenge. It runs for one week and you can win 5 digis from the Digi Darla Store!

See you tomorrow for the Clear it Out Challenge post!

Clear it out challenge

It's a 'snow ' theme over at the Clear it Out challenge blog!

I used a digi from one of our long time sponsors, Digi Darla Designs called SnowFlake Fairy. Isn't she cute?

I used my copic markers to colour her. The background paper is from SU (Stampin Up) I've had for a few years. The ribbon is one I've had forever. (So long ago I can't even remember what I bought it for, lol)
.
I added Stickles to the snowflakes because even fairies need to bling it out sometimes ;)

Have a super day and don't forget to play along! There are 3 sponsors this challenge so chances of winning are pretty good!

It's Digi Darla Day!

It's challenge time at the Digi Darla Challenge blog. Our theme is a photo inspiration and a quote.

I married a warm guy. It could be 30 below and he would only need a t shirt because he is hot. Of course I would be beside him in a parka, with 7 layers of clothes on, and a blanket and most likely a heater turned on too.

So when I saw this digi called 'Groovy love' I had to get it. I knew just what I was going to do....

How perfect is that? I coloured it up with my copic markers and layered that onto some SU scrap paper I had. I used  SU ribbon and a button from my stash to add a little detail. The background paper is from Jillibean soup.

Thanks for popping by, I hope to see you playing along. The challenge runs for one week and you can win up to 8 digis ( 5 for winning, 3 more if you use a Digi Darla image!)

MelJen's Challenge

'In a word' is the challenge this week at the MelJen's Challenge blog and I'm cutting it really close to enter!

I used the adorable steampunk girl for my card.

I coloured her with my copic markers and added her to my layered Basic Grey papers. I added a sticker 'Hi' which I layered on a punch. I then added some metal to keep with the steampunk theme.

Thanks for stopping in to check out my card.
Have a super week!

Monster Boo-the sweetest little one

It's mid-challenge inspiration day over at the Clear it Out challenge blog. The challenge is S'mores and the stash is brown/white items.

Here is my card

I used the adorable image from Lacy Sunshine called Monster Boo.
I used Copics to colour her and added stickles to her jammies for a little bling
The ribbon is an end piece of ribbon bought from SU (Stampin' Up). The sentiment is a rub on from making memories I've had for about 8 years. Yep, that is why I run the Clear it Out Challenge Blog, I have too much stuff I need to use up-lol

There is one more week to play along. Combine this with the challenge at Lacy Sunshine (bling it up) and you could win big time!

Have a super day, thanks for stopping by :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

It's time for a brand new challenge at the Digi Darla Challenge Blog.
The theme is Berrylicious. So anything goes as long as it has berries on it!

I saw this digi in the shop and new I had to use it. It's called Digi Darla Owl Wreath coloured. I also used  the sentiment Because you mean so much Christmas.

This was card was easy peasy to put together. My crafty time has been on hiatus since the hubbie has been laid off. Now I have to do stuff-lol. We are renovating our kitchen so I can't let him do all the work while I play.....sigh, darn guilt!!

I used my word program to layer the images and used half the sentiment on the outside of the card, the remainder 'at Christmas and always'  is on the inside. To add depth I added a green hue to the wreath, also in word. Crystal effects was added to the berries to make them shine and stand out a bit.

The paper and ribbon are from SU ( I've had  forever and can't remember the colour~sorry) Can you believe I didn't use ANY copic markers in this card? Yep, it's that cute on it's own ;)

The DD challenge runs for one week. You can win 5 images of your choice, just in time for making your Christmas cards! If you use a Digi Darla image you can also win 3 images :) Can't wait to see what you've made!

It's time to Clear it Out !

There's a new challenge  at the Clear it Out Challenge Blog- S'mores!
What does that mean? Anything from chocolate/marshmallow inspiration, making more than one card, what ever it means to you.
The stash item is white/brown

I had the privilege of using the digital stamp 'Alannah' from StampArt by Kathryne. Kathryne has some really cute digital stamps you have to check out. This is one of her newer ones.

Isn't she cute? I used my copics to colour her up and placed her on some blue/white/brown designer paper I've had for about 2 years. I added a white ribbon (in stash for a long time)
This cute image comes with a separate sentiment and bird, perfect for finishing off the inside.

The challenge runs for 2 weeks (Nov 18th). Can't wait to see what you've created :)

Here is my card using an image from one of the CIO sponsors QKR Stampede

It's Digi Darla Day

I've been M.I.A. as I haven't had a camera to post my pictures, but that's about to change! I used up all my Optimum Points (from Shopper's drug mart) and bought a camera-yahoo! Now all I have to do is figure it out-lol

Today at Digi Darla's Challenges the theme is : Fright Night:  Monster Movie Madness

Here is my card using Lil' Witch

Isn't she cute? I printed the sentiment off on my computer, added ribbon and gems. I used the 'spotlighting' technique which I think worked well with the moon :)

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to play. The challenge runs for one week and if you win you get 5 free digital images. You can use any image to play but if you use a Digi Darla one you have a chance to win 3 digis, cool!

Can't wait to see what you create :)

It's Digi Darla Day!

Go ink up your Digi Darla digis because it's time to play!!

The challenge this week is to make a card that celebrates the passage of time. Here is my card using Janessa and Kitty-love this line of girls!

(Sorry about the poopy picture. I think I've narrowed down my choice for a new camera-now to convince the hubbie-lol.)

I masked clouds and sponged to make the background. I made the grass by following a tutorial I found on youtube. I think I went a little heavy on the dark green so I may go back and add a medium green to it. Anywho, thank for stopping in and taking a peek at my cards.

The challenge runs for one week and you can win 5 digis! Can't wait to see what you create!

Too cute to spook challenge!

It's challenge time at the Clear it Out Challenge blog. The theme: Halloween, the stash item-use something orange.

I used the image Lil' Witch from Digi Darla Designs. You can find it here.

Isn't she cute? I broke out my Stampin' Up inks and sponged the sky. I used a post it note to make the moon. The sentiment I made on the computer and I added orange gems. My scanner made them look weird but I assure you they are orange-lol. The technique I used to highlight just one part of the image is called 'spotlighting'. Cool huh?

This challenge runs 3 weeks so there is plenty of time to join in. Can't wait to see what you make :)

Happy Thanksgiving Day

Happy Turkey day to you! Here are my thanks....

Today I am thankful because;

I am the daughter of the King,
I  am a wife to a funny, kind man,
I  am a mother to 3 adorable children,
 I am a sister/daughter of a crazy, loving family,
I have (albeit not many) friends who I love as my second family

Today I am thankful that God has given me so many blessings in my life.
We have food on our table,
We have shelter over our heads
We have love.

I wish you all a Happy Turkey Day, but mostly I wish that you all take a minute and really think about the blessings in your life. I'm sure it will bring a smile to your face :)

I used the digi called Angel Up. I think this is a perfect digi for these types of cards.

It's Clear it Out Challenge Day!

So I missed my post yesterday for the Digi Darla challenge, but I do hope you will click on the link to see the awesome inspiration the DT has left there for you :)

Today at the Clear it out challenge blog we are so Thankful and that is our theme! We are also to use up a left over sentiment. As I've written before I tend to fill empty space when printing my digis with sentiments I will use in the future. And then I don't....

So here is my card using a left over sentiment and a great digi from Lacy Sunshine.
Please pardon the picture-my son broke my camera so I will have to scan them for now :(

Isn't she gorgeous? Love, love, love this one!
The challenge runs for 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create! Good luck :)

Lacy Sunshine sponsor

Lacy Sunshine is one of the fabulous sponsors at the Clear it Out Challenge Blog. The challenge there is to make a thank you card using a hoarded stash item.

Here is my card using some papers I've had for a while. BUT,  that's not my 'hoarded' item-lol  My item is those little yellow flowers. In 1999 I made my wedding album and used those flowers for accents. Yes, I have a problem with keeping craft supplies. Guess that's why I'm running the Clear it Out Challenge blog- it's a good fit for me ;)

Here is my card:

The challenge runs for 2 weeks and you have a chance to win some digis from our artists. You should stop by and see what's new at the Lacy Sunshine store. While you're there you can pick this one up called 'Ayashe and lil feather' Good luck!

Thank you challenge @ Clear it Out

If you've been to my blog before you know how much I love Bugaboo Stamps. Not only do they have cute whimsical digis, but they have their own challenge blog, a free image on Fridays AND they sponsor the Clear it Out Challenge blog-woot, woot!

This time, for the challenge I chose to do a journal repurpose. Take a look...

I used Bugaboo Stamps digi called ' Thank you flower'. I popped up the flower to add dimension and while cutting that out I lost the lady bug. Seriously, it's gone. That ever happened to you? I swear it was 'right there' and now? Who knows!
Anywho, used up some Basic Gray papers I had laying around and tons of ribbon bits.
I added 2 tabs that were left over from smaller journals I had made for a ladies group. I plan to also add 'scripture' and notes.
The great thing about these journals is I can add more pages.

I hope you'll join us, there are 3 sponsors this round and you have 2 weeks to play!  Good luck :)

It's Digi Darla Challenge Day!

The kids are heading back to school and as much as I love them, I am happy they are going back. They really need the structure and their school buddies! Seems like all our playdates this summer didn't work out. That's not to say they didn't have a fun, filled vacation -swimming lessons, and camps galore. Lots of memories! BUT, if they go back I'll have some more crafty time ;)

Anywho, this week the challenge at Digi Darla Designs is ATG (anything goes) with Optional Twist: Flags--add a flag, banner or pennant to your card

I chose 2 images to use ; Sailboat true love (boat),  I'm lost at sea without you (sentiment)

I used washi tape to make my banner and frayed the edges of the card to give it a more rugged look. The card is pretty c.a.s. but most male cards I make tend to be that way.

The challenge runs for one week. If you are the rnadom winner you get 5 images. If you use a Digi Darla image you get entered into a seperate draw and can win 3 images-how cool is that!

Can't wait to see what you have created!
Hugs

It's ATG at Digi Darla's

It's time once again for a great challenge at the Digi Darla Blog.

The theme is
Anything Goes with a twist (must use bow, digi stamp and one or more butterflies)

Here is my card using DD image Wedding Bliss

I used a new die I bought from Spellbinders and matted that on a shiny silver background. I added that to a pale pink heart embossed paper I made using a SU (stampin' up) die.

I coloured the image with my copic markers, added flowers, a bow, butterflies and pearl for detail.

I just love anything goes challenges because you truly never know what people will make. I can't wait to pop around on your blogs and see what you make. Don't forget the winner gets 5 images of their choice AND if you use a DD image you can win 3 images as well.

Have a super week!

Clear it out, school's back!!

School is just around the corner! So it's time to celebrate with a School themed challenge at the Clear it Out Challenge Blog.

I had the privilege of using a digital stamp from one of our sponsors Limited Runs.

I love the array of cupcake choices Nikki has designed, but the 'Butterfly cupcake' really caught my eye. In my children's school each grade has an insect. The JK's are bumble bees, the SK's are ladybugs, and the first grade children are butterflies. As soon as I saw it I knew just what I'd do.

My son's teacher is amazing. I am so thankful my son has her again this year. She has gone way above and beyond to help him and I appreciate that. She sent home a little note this week about reminders for him about school. He has some issues and needs a lot of preparation for changes. So she shed some light on where he would be, his desk placement, classroom rules, etc.

It was lovely to know that as much as I wanted her to be his teacher again, she requested him in her class.
I had to send along a big thank you card to her, with a gift card to her favourite coffee shop of course. I'm sure she'll need lots of coffee in the upcoming weeks-lol

The challenge also called for chipboard. I glued pick paper to the chipboard and chalked arouind the edges. The butterfly is popped up on dimensionals and of course I had to add glitter ;)

The challenge is for 2 weeks. Can't wait to see what you create!

It's Digi Darla Day

It's a birthday celebration theme over at Digi Darla's challenge blog this week.
There are so many digis to chose from at the store but I chose to use this little cutie called

happy bearday

I paper pieced the balloons to match the background paper adding stickles for a glittery finish. I coloured up the little bear with my copic markers and used an SU (Stampin' Up) border punch for the edge. I then added a ribbon of beads for extra glam.

The challenge runs for 1 week. If you use a Digi Darla image you can win 3 additional images!
I'm looking forward to coming at seeing what you create this week

Birthday fun

I like to think I am pretty crafty. I have been most of my life.

I thought this past weekend I could totally make a cake for my son. So I searched around and found the perfect cake for him. Superman.

I watched how to make my own fondant, watched how to colour it, and even watched how to stencil out my design. And then I got to work. Clearly I should stick to paper projects-lol

So here it is...my train wreck

So I learned a few things making this cake;

- Fondant is super sticky, it sticks to everything
- When they say add water between fondant layers to make it stick, they mean just a little (note the sliding off 'S')
-I should have watched the video on how to lift the fondant to the cake. I winged it and nearly missed the cake, and it ripped in places

Doesn't matter what anyone one else thinks of it though. When my son saw it his eyes lit up and told me I was the bestest mom ever. And all was right with the world :)

Clear it out challenge-last week

It's the last week of the Summer Vacation challenge at the Clear it Out Blog.
Here is another card I made for this challenge using some very old stickers I had laying around

The image is from The Stamping Chef-one of the sponsors from the challenge. The prize is 3 images if you win.
I've had the 'laugh' sticker for as long as I can remember.  (at least 8 years). The FYI sticker is from a Stampin Up' kit that I bought years ago.

I really like this image. I can see it as a 'sending you love' card. Can you?

Good luck! Challenge ends this Monday.

It's time to Clear it Out, Lacy Sunshine style!

I am uber excited to tell you that Lacy Sunshine has decided to sponsor the Clear it Out Challenge Blog-Yahoo!
I just love the little digi gals and am so excited I get to play with them!

The theme at Clear it Out is Summer Vacation/use stickers or rubons. At first glance you may be thinking summer vacation? But yes, this is summer vacation oriented.

You see when I volunteered 2 weeks ago at a children's camp, my duties were to run a program for the younger children unable to attend camp (0-4 years). I had a huge room that had tons of toys, allowing it to also be a drop-in when it rained/in between programs. Unfortunately, I also slept in the same room with my daughter. To avoid people just walking in, I made this sign for our door to let people know we were sleeping ( I am so not a morning person).

My daughter loved it and now has it hanging on her door.

She now alternates between this one and the one I made before . Her reason ' that way the boys (her brothers) won't bug me when I am having good dreams' Lol, love that kid of mine!

It's Digi Darla Day!

It's been a crazy busy weekend at our house. We had a superhero birthday party with 11 kids plus our own. Lots of crazy, zany fun. To top it all off, I decided I really wanted to make superman cake for him. I'll save that train wreck tale for another day -lol

This week at Digi Darla's challenge blog the theme is : Furr, Feathers, of Fins
I chose to use a DD image called Janessa and kitty. I've been hanging on to it for a while. I just love how cute it is and thought this would be perfect for the challenge.

Here is my card

You have one week to play along. If you use a Digi Darla image you have a chance to win 3 more digis. Can't wait to see what you create!

Time to Clear it Out!

Head on over to the Clear it out challenge blog where Summer Vacation is the theme and rubons/stickers is the stash item.

I am excited to be using a cute image from Bugaboo Stamps. I just love the cute, simplicity of Bugaboo Stamps. Easy to colour up and hundreds of digis for any occassion.

The tag I made is for my little girl going to camp. In the back will be a bag full of embroidery floss for her to share and make friendship bracelets with her cabin mates.

What do you think?

It's so hard to  believe there is only 3 weeks left of summer. Time sure flies by! I hope you are enjoying your summer vacation :)

Thanks for stopping by!

I'm Back...

I'm back from a week away. We were up in the woods at a Christian camp and it was so great to see how God is working in the lives of so many young people :)
The drive was crazy, someone threw up in the car, 2 of us are sick with a cold, but I'd do it all again.

Anywho, no card for today, just a reminder to join in the fun at the Digi Darla challenge blog. The challenge is to make a card using your favourite ice cream flavours!

Hands down my favourite is chocolate. Not chocolate mint, not chocolate chip cookie dough, just chocolate. Boring for some I guess, but I like it. Having said that I recently went to Marble slab and I have to say 'Birthday cake' flavour is becoming a close second :)

I look forward to seeing your creations this week and how many of you chose chocolate ;)
Be back tomorrow with a new creation!

It's Digi Darla Day!

Time to be a copy cat and create with the new challenge at Digi Darla's challenge blog!
The challenge is to use the digi by DD called Smile and a Flower Please.

Here is my card:
I printed out the image twice so I could cut out the flower. I popped it up on dimensionals. The sentiment I printed from my computer. I drew the black border, added a button with ribbon to finish off my card.
I won't be popping by your blogs this week as I am on vacation, but I can't wait to see what you've created when I get back :)
 Have a great week!

Oops!

So I am little overboard right now preparing for our summer 'vacation'. I use the word 'vacation' lightly as the kids will be on vacation and I will be working ( so they can be there).
We will be heading up to a Christian camp site for the week. Of course, I planned this after my hubbie had already scheduled his vacation time, so it will be just me and 3 kids.
Yes, I am nuts ;)

While the monkeys are swimming, canoeing, doing archery, rock climbing, crafts and more, I will be teaching 16 children under 4 about God's promises. I will also be supervising 11 babysitters and running their morning devotions.

So in between preparing for all of that, running my kids everywhere, and managing the household, I've had little time for crafting :(

However, there are 2 fabulous challenges going on right now I hope you can join in on

Digi Darla Designs-has a fabulous Christmas in July theme
Clear it Out Challenge-has a washi tape challenge for you

If I did it right, next weeks posts will be scheduled :)
Have a super week!

It's Digi Darla Day!

It's time for another challenge at the Digi Darla Challenge Blog. This week the challenge is a sketch challenge.
I piggybacked 2 challenges this week as I am preparing to go on vacation soon. So this will also serve as my card for the Clear it Out Challenge blog-international use washi tape. Digi Darla is sponsoring CIO so if you combine the challenges you have another chance to win!!!!!

I live in Canada and there is lots of wildlife here. In fact when I drove my daughter to her camp this week a baby and momma deer where crossing the road.  She was so excited :)

I used Digi Darla's images : Fawn in the field and Fresh Christmas tree

Thanks for popping by. Before I go I will be checking out your blogs to see what you've created. Good luck :)

Not all girls like princess' ....

It's challenge time over at the Clear it Out Blog. The theme this week is : Make someone smile and use something glittery.

I used a digi image from The Stamping Chef (one of the sponsors this week) called Piba .

So I have this scrap box, more like a rubbermaid tote of 'scrap' paper. It also houses some 'why on earth did I buy this' paper and ' I really like some of the papers in this paper pack, what am I going to so with the rest of it' papers.

I used 2 of those papers today. Sad to say I have had them about 9 years. Yep, time I sign up for an episode of hoarders-lol

I think this crazy digi worked great with these papers! I cut apart the digi to make it appear he/she was walking over the hill. I added some glitter to the heart balloon, horns and flowers for some sparkle. I finished it off by using my 0.05 copic black liner and freehanding a boarder.
Easy peasy!
You have one more week to play along, I can't wait to see what you create :)
