This month we have lots of celebrations including my anniversary. I made this card which was a huge labour of love.
I am entering this into the Digi Darla Challenge Blog who happens to be sponsored (by another of my favourite digital stamp artists) Bugaboo!
I recently saw on the web a card maker who does beautiful work. I was stunned to see how her digital images came to life. Her secret? She layers them. So I followed her tutorial and tried my hand at it.
Can I just tell you..the women is nuts! Seriously. It took me a whole afternoon just to paper piece my digi (from Bugaboo Stamps) and she does this for every card. Perhaps I was a little too ambitious using such a detailed image, I don't know. Would I do it again? Yep, but not for just anyone. I LOVE the way this looks. It brings such depth to a card. Apparently had I followed the tutorial correctly and used my stylist to pop out each layer it would have been even more 3D. To be honest, after a few hours I just wanted to glue the sucker down and make a card. maybe next time-lol.
Here is my card:
The patterned paper is from Basic Grey. I layered a ribbon over it and a lace under it. I cut out my image and popped it up with dimensionals. The crochet flower was added with a letter charm.
Hopefully you can see all the layers in there-lol
Thanks for stopping by. If I can retrace my steps and find the women's blog, I'll post it. Her talent is incredible!

Look at what I won!
I was super excited to pop over to MelJen's Challenge Blog today and see my name in the winners list!
Here is the cute badge I won
I get to select one uber cute image from her shop....oh the stress of picking just ONE! Not sure I'll manage, perhaps some cookies and milk will help the process along ;)
Here is the card I made for that challenge.

This week at the Hambo Hoedown the challenge is paper piercing.
They offer a fun, free digi for us to use just for playing along the week prior. This week's digi is 'Dr. Needle'.
I added some piercing to my brown strip of paper and in the corners of my patterned paper. I popped up the Dr. and then popped up then popped up the P.P. as well.
I thought this card could be used for someone whose pet is going in for surgery. I'm not sure what to write inside as of yet, although as I type this my husband says I should write " thank goodness it's not YOU getting neutered eh!" Yep, he's got a twisted sense of humour-lol

MelJen's Challenge Blog
I have been a long time fan of MelJen's.
What I really enjoy is that she often adds lines where the shadow would go. This makes it easy for the newbie or pro 'colourists', regardless of the medium you use. This weeks challenge is to use black.
My card utilizes an image I won on their recent blog hop Little Ballerina. Here is my card:
I put some of my copics in there to show you what I used. I added some pearls. The sentiment I typed up on the computer. Thanks a bunch for looking :)

Digi Darla's Sketch Challenge
It's time for another fab challenge at Digi Darla's Challenge Blog! Woot, woot!
I am so excited today as not only am I entering a challenge but also applying to be on the DT (wish me buckets of luck!)
The challenge this time round it's a sketch. I chose to flip the sketch to make my card
Once again (can't help it, I love this dude) I used Courtin' Caleb. I also used some left over paper, a die cut daisy flower (from SU), and a homemade button with twine!
Thanks a bunch for stopping by. Don't forget if you want a chance to be on the Digi Darla Design Team you need to apply a.s.a.p. Good Luck!

A day for daisies fairy tooth tin
I purchased these tins unsure of what to do with them until now!
My son lost his tooth this week and received a container from school to put it in. My daughter (who doesn't go to school yet) wanted her own so I made this for her. Best part is it is magnetic so it can hang on the side of the fridge til it is need :)

It's a hambo Hoedown Sketch Challenge!
This week at the Hambo Hoedown our challenge is a sketch. Although we were given a fantastic digi called Monster Yell (just for playing along last week), I chose to use the Bailey digi from Hambo Stamps.
Shhhh, don't tell my mom but I made this card tonight. She lives out of town and we will be seeing her tomorrow. I could have made it earlier in the week and mailed it but this way I get to see her reaction :)
I used up some left over papers I had, after all I am trying sooo hard not to use any new supplies until my old stash is somewhat depleted. (Man is that hard!)

Hey, I made a card...cause it's challenge time!
So I was looking through my blog and noticed that most of my post titles say "It's challenge time", so I thought I'd mix it up a bit-lol.
This week at Digi Darla's Challenge I was super excited to find this waiting for me....
Yeah! (insert happy dance) I can't wait to hear from their sponsor so I can shop , shop , shop!
This week the challenge is a photo inspiration. We also had a freebie digi called 'Sunflower Birdhouse' to use. Here is my card with my details below
I flipped the photo and decided to use it as a sketch! I embossed the argyle on the left side, made faux paneling with the robin blue paper, made a white triangle (white paper punched with my lace edge punch/hole punch) coloured up the digi, and added a flower for a pop of colour.
What do you think? Here is the original one flipped on it's side
Thanks for popping by, have a fabulous weekend!

It's Hambo TIme!!
It's time for one of my fav challenge sites The Hambo Hoedown!
The challenge this week is Flowers! The fun image this week from Hambo Stamps, is 'catching butterflies'.
Here is my card with an explanation of what I did below
I searched on the internet for some grass and laid bunches of it together. And then I thought, hmmmm needs some flowers! So I went through my digi stash and found a cute flower. I shrunk it and added it to the grass several times. I tilted the digi person catching the butterfly so he looked like he was running. I added some extra flowers on the ribbon for fun :) The sketch I just made up as I went!
I would also like to enter this into the DYSU challenge : Flowers!
Thanks for stopping by!

Pike's Playground Challenge
There is another challenge going on at Pike's Playground. It's a colour challenge. I chose to use a digi I bought a while back from Dustin. It came in colour (which matched this challenge perfectly) and black and white. I chose to make this quick CAS card using his coloured version. I added some glitter to make it sparkle and popped it up. I then added the border. The sentiment is something I always say (and sing) to my daughter :)

It's Challenge Time!
The internet is just buzzing with fabulous mother day ideas, and the challenges this week are no exception!
I've never been a 'flower' person. In fact, when I was dating my hubbie' I told him to spend his money on other things instead. However, this time of year I am always wanting bright beautiful flowers on my table. My way of saying 'hurry up summer!"
So, I was so excited to do some challenges this week that had us use 'flowers'
Here is a card I made for the Digi Darla Challenge: Celebrate Mom (image from Digi Darla) and the DYSU Challenge: Flowers
Thanks for popping by and I welcome your comments!

It's time for another great challenge at the Hambo Hoedown!
This week I made a card for the challenge (use Hot Pink, Purple and Orange) using the uber cute Bailey image 'Bailey Flower'.
This was a hard challenge for me since I don't tend to use such bright colours, but I found this cute flower paper that had hot pink and orange in it-yahoo! Bailey is popped up and I just made up the sketch based on what scraps I had lying around :)

It's Challenge Time
This week I made a card for a friend. She is a lovely person who has been in my life for about 8 years and recently moved.
I'm sure most of you have a friend who just makes you a better person. A. L always lifts me up when I'm in need. Now it's my turn :)
I titled my card 'U R Fabulous'. She is having a hard time transitioning so I wanted to make her a card to let her know I am thinking about her
The image is from Digi Darla's Challenge Blog, the sentiment I wrote up on the computer
I'd like to enter this into today's challenges:
Digi Darla's Challenge Blog-make a thinking of you card
Clear it Out Blog- use flowers, make a card for Mom/or a Mentor
Thanks for popping by
